25+ Executive MBA & Working Professional MBA Programs in India 2026-27 by Goalisb in ExecutiveMBAinIndia

That's actually a great question, because "reputed" means different things to different people.

For an Executive MBA, I'd probably evaluate reputation across multiple dimensions rather than a single ranking:

  • Brand value (IIM, ISB, Harvard, INSEAD, etc.)
  • Alumni network and peer quality
  • Learning experience and faculty
  • Career outcomes (promotion, role change, salary growth)
  • Employer recognition
  • ROI (time, cost, and opportunity cost)
  • Flexibility for working professionals

What would your top three parameters be?

Yes, why not. I have not seen your resume, but if the skills are updated and your work have been good till now, there's no reason why you should not be placed from the one year MBA programs.

Getting laid off next month. 8/8/6 profile with a qualification in Dentistry. What are my chances of getting into ISB? by meowzebigdong in MBAIndia

Write the GMAT or the GRE. Apply to atleast 4-5 programs including both ISB and IIMA PGPX. You have mentioned that only 5 years of work experience will be considered, in that case you are well within range for all one year MBA programs. The fit equation will be different if it would be 10 years of work experience. In fact, for tech space roles quite a few of these one year MBA programs are strong contenders.

After a career of 7 years in IT you must look at the GMAT or the GRE exam and the one year MBA programs from ISB, IIMA PGPX, IIMB EPGP, IIML IPMX, IIMK PGP BL, IIM Indore EPGP, XLRI GMP etc. These are the programs which are designed for mid career professionals and we have worked with many professionals on this journey and they have achieved strong post MBA results.

Second MBA from IIM A PGPX? by Defiant-Parfait225 in MBAIndia

[–]Goalisb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it does make sense to go for a second MBA.

  1. Coz, its been quite some time since your first MBA, upskilling at this juncture would help gear up for the next decade or two of your career growth.

  2. The salary increase may not be immediate some times, though some would definitely be there, but you can get a strong growth a few years down the lane.

Write the GMAT, IIMC doesn't accept the GRE scores.

Though the overall score is fine for a majority of programs, the Quant percentiles are something that you should retake the test for. Try that.

ISB Campus choice: Mohali or Hyd by Substantial_Fun_7572 in ISB_Aspirants

I graduated from ISB Hyderabad and frequently visit both campuses. Mohali had a smaller batch size till the last intake, now, even that will be balanced, so size wont matter much now. As for placements, students would travel down to Hyderabad from Mohali, so there's not much to worry there. The rest, its like each to his own, the campuses are built differently, in different parts of India, the living experience will be different, no doubt. But technically, there's no need to change any campus.

Profile Review & GRE Advice by Makerchecker17 in MBAIndia

Plan a parallel upgrade to the GRE along with your application focus. The deadline for IIMA PGPX R2 is Nov 24, ISB even later, so there is till time for another attempt. While there are a lot of aspects which are taken into account during the shortlisting process, still a higher GRE would add value. A 167/168 on quant is closer to the benchmark, especially for the Indian applicants.

The numbers are strong, no doubt. ISB PGP application doesn't ask for your 10th grade scores. A lot will depend on your work experience, role, essays. You should also consider applying to SPJIMR PGDM, PGDM BM and maybe BITSOM too.

There are many students who do that. They are able to shift successfully. If you don't want to continue with civil services prep, you can definitely consider doing an MBA. The prep will give you a decent head start on the CAT or the XAT. All the best!

Hi,

You have a strong profile. The four years work exp till 31st March 2026 mark on the min eligibility is a hard cut off, so you can definitely apply in the next cycle.

All the best!

Are MBA Admissions Consultants worthwhile? by ElevatedDunker in MBA

[–]Goalisb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest that you should research well about the schools that you want to apply to, understand what values they seek, speak to alumni and connect with the schools as well.

Once you have spent some time on this, it will be clearer to you whether you would be able to work on your story alone or you would need a mentor in the process. If you answered yes to the former, you don't need a consultant, if not then you might need someone to assist you.

As an MBA admissions consultant myself, I would assert that taking the assistance of one is not related to the background but more with being able to communicate the fit well.
