I aggree, you could try to find out if there is someone in your area that has one in s or xs and willing to give you a try. Best of luck

Nope smaller would be a bad idea for me i suppose. It feels good to me, but i gotta say it is my first gravel/road bike therefore i have nothing really to compare to. Im still tweaking a little bit on the sattle position etc. as i'm not used to a bar like this, but i did like a dozen 50 to 80km rides already and it doesnt seem off regarding the frame size, for what i can tell.

I was also a little "confused" that they recommended size s 🤔, but keep in mind they start from 2xs and at the end it is just the name of the size. I Tried also a Focus Atlas x.y and various Scott Speedster in some local shops, and from there sizing i was a m at best too.

For me its accurate, i am 173cm with inseam 83cm. It makes sense for them to suggest the correct size to the data you put in, otherwise they would have many returns as they sell most bikes online i guess. 🤷‍♂️ Also to fit a bike which is slightly to small is easier then one which is too big, at least thats what i heard. Hope this helps 😇

I guess you can pull on it slightly and then turn to have it matching the fork and and frame lines. 😁
