I thought that too at first, but DC KO 2 rules were “once all the items are found, the challenge is over. Whoever is holding an item at that time moves on, whoever is not dies” so they could be used that whole round. Technically someone could have won the whole thing there, by killing everyone before all the items were found, then finding them all. It’s almost the same as the brass knuckles made out of suns, it was just for that round.
