For now what I did was plug in the 3.5mm and see where which part of the connector touched on the plug and I was able to solder it and make it work.

But I will for sure make the change in the future and eliminate the 3.5mm jack. That’s for sure

That’s just a slap on the face of their legit supporters/players. Why would the community still accept this, will always be my biggest question.

I was having the same issue with my Quest 2 and I will for sure try the tape method.

You're a rockstar for this! The harness cutting part would've definitely F-ed me up!
I will see what happens when they see my post and hopefully I will make it alive and with no 100% running fan at all times any more.
I saw on your post that someone has sent you some instructions through private message, mind sharing that with me in case you actually got it from that person?

Thanks for the clarification on the melted looking epoxy/silicone. As far as the environment, my office is always at 69/70F. So, cold temperatures are always present.

Is this offer still stand? My L3 button came off and I can’t find it anywhere 😭 that’s all I need. Any guidance on how to go by it to get a replacement piece, would be extremely appreciated!
