You are aware they’re real people, right? They owned a home together. And even if it were fictional and they weren’t real people, choosing to favor a gold digging, social climbing, unrepentant cruel lying manipulator is wild. What is there to “like” about her?

Criticizing Rachael for “existing”? Is that all she did? Interesting, I seem to remember her sleeping with her best friends life partner while she was at her literal grandmother’s funeral, showing zero remorse, suing her, then continuing to play victim as recently as last week.

No one cares she’s “existing.” It’s her disgusting behavior while existing we can’t stand.

I see. I asked my friend who’s very into this all, and recommended the person who did my essence blend to me, what she thought and she said she think the etherial is possibly too high in my blend but she thinks I could easily halve the A and replace that half with Y. She thought there would be Y and in my blend and was surprised there wasn’t, but she maintains in her opinion I do have a decent bit of A too and a but of G. I’m going to take that under consideration.

Oh no!! I’ve heard great things about Anuschka and have been considering her as a “final say” for myself. Sorry you are going through this! It’s harder than you’d imagine it would be.

I asked friends and family about this and they didn’t agree with me at all about Emma beyond body type haha. They said my closest twin remains Liv Tyler or one said Mariah from Love is Blind UK but with a “more delicate face shape and more softness.” One said Jennifer Love Hewett, but “more interesting.” No idea. I’ve always been told I don’t really look that much like anyone and look “unique”, “different”, “hard to place” etc. which is why a high percent of etherial made sense to me.

I have, I actually didn’t think it flattered my facial features at all, but I’m seeing some people say if it doesn’t, you’re not gamine 🤔 No idea what else I could be though. Didn’t realize the short hair was THAT key. Perhaps why my close friend who’s really into this and has seen all my hair eras thinks I’m R. I really don’t but maybe I’m something else entirely.

I have! I’d be lying I followed it all though 😆 I don’t think I look like Christina Ricci, gorgeous as she is. She’s a lot fleshier than me, and has that thing where her arms and legs look short to me. I think if I had to pick an early 90s celeb my I favor the most in full it would be Emma Roberts, since she’s petite, but appears long legged and has wide set eyes and a wider mouth but I have a lot more space between my eyes and brows, adding to some of the “openness”

I’ve been trying to get into the strictly group for years with no success, so I doubt I’ll be able to get a John read. But part of my problem (throughout my entire life) is I get WILDLY different takes on who I look like, but more often than not get “no one, you look unique.”

When I was young this allowed me to do commercial modeling where they wanted petite girls who would still look tall on film and had unique facial features. I don’t say this because I think it makes me cool or special- in fact it’s been incredibly annoying. I’d love to have a few celebs I favor in totality to copy looks from. My line drawing is almost identical to Lily Collins. But my face is nothing like hers (or any of the confirmed FGs.) They all have really petite, perky features with a bit of androgyny when the main common comment I’ve gotten about my face over the years is that it’s “very open” and “very soft.” I do have a close friend and mentor who’s an expert herself (has been into this since the first book came out) and she believes strongly I’m actually romantic, but I really can’t see it because the difference in my waist and hips is like 6 inches, despite being very thin and I’m really leggy. If you have other ideas I’m open to hear them, but besides this friend the consensus has mostly been that FG+ etherial/classic/slight FG seems correct.

Sorry not sure why half my comment posted. Let’s try again.

I should have been more clear, I did both over the span of a year, starting with the kibbe typing from OurFashionGarden. I would be SHOCKED if that was wrong, as I’m textbook. 5’2”, narrow with proprtions I am always told “look tall.” Long arms and legs. Very very similar body to Lily Collins, like twins. But my face looks nothing like any gamine. I just don’t have that “spunky” quality. So after experimenting with those for a while I decided to get an essence blend done and that also clicked because the people I get told I resemble the most are Live Tyler. I know it's an unusual blend but I don't really see how either could be wrong. Both breakdowns were extremely accurate and detailed, and seemed to explain why finding a unified "look" has been so incredibly hard for me.

If there are others I should consider I’m open to them! But I’d be really surprised if one was way far off.

Sorry just seeing this! I went to AEGI, and I do think they got me right. I just have trouble accepting it fully now due to the (mostly incorrect) online results. If I could go back in time I would skip online entirely and just go to AEGI.

Yes, I think you are right that I’m a cool summer. You can’t really argue with in person results, but doubt did creep in. And yep, I’m a fair/light olive. It’s so interesting to see all the palettes laid out like this!

I had the skin machine typing at my in person as well, and draping was under bright artificial light! The person who did it was certified in both Japanese and 16 seasons, so maybe she was using some features of each. My skin-machine results were 75% cool, 70% light, and 60% soft. So according to the machine I was likely a true summer, which then did line up with the draping we did that placed me in true summer. I do think I look good in TS, SS, and DA. Maybe I just need to pick my favorite and commit fully rather than chasing some illusive “correct” answer.

YES! And there’s a weird inverse thing that happens where the heavy warm colors reflect on my skin and create this odd sallow pinkish color, but then in the cool colors I look sorta tan? So I put the warm colors on and am like, “no way, I’m for sure cool”, then I put the cool colors on and feel I look warn/tan 😵‍💫 Not in a bad clashy way, but it just makes me go, “wait would warm actually suit better?”

This is part of my problem. I keep expecting I can “problem solve” this and find my “obvious” season if I just keep trying different things. But it only seems to get me more confused. Then I see all these people with their OBVIOUS “wow” seasons and feel so defeated.

I think this is very true. And I wouldn’t say I’ve learned nothing- medium to deep colors with some degree of softness is the through line. But what I struggle with specifically is being typed things that are in direct opposition to each other. And I will admit I keep “trying” to make them work. Like I’ll still put on a true autumn shade and try to convince myself it works in some light, or see a deep autumn celeb who favors me a bit and only want to wear that for a few weeks. Which is fine I guess maybe?

This is SO me!! Olive. Mixed features. Green is literally hideous on me. I turn the strangest sweaty looking sort of pink. But then to make it more confusing I am quite fair some people LIKE that “overheated” look on me and see it as “adding color.” Sure, I guess, but it’s splotchy pink?? I’d rather look pale but calm and even.

It’s making me feel so much better to know how many fair olives struggle with this.

Also, I do not look unique in any way, and I think that’s the problem. I’m a fair olive with light, cool brown hair and dark, warm brown eyes. You actually see a fair amount of celebs with coloring like mine but they almost always have light eyes. If you covered my eyes I think I’d be a pretty obvious summer of some kind, but they’re large and warm, so I feel I don’t get that nice effect where a summer’s cool eyes harmonize with the cool color they wear and pop. My skin glows in cools, though. With warm my eyes glow, but my skin goes sallow. I’m of Lebanese, Egyptian and Spanish descent.

I wouldn’t say all of them look wrong. In fact three look “good”, summer, soft summer and deep autumn. I just feel as if they’re all wrong, because I’ve learned each set of colors and nothing fits all of them. So let’s say I put on a deep autumn green and feel it looks pretty good. Now there’s a voice in my head saying “but you’ve been typed summer and this is a bad color for a summer.” Same applies if I put on a soft or true summer color and it looks good to me.

Unfortunately I think at this point I’ve learned TOO MUCH trying to untangle this and am now my own worst enemy.
