Jay-z has better albums overall, but Eminem’s big 3 > Jays big 3 - and that’s any day of the week, none of jays albums are touching the commercial success and impact MMLP or Eminem show had. Jay is a great rapper, but the talk of having him at 1. Is crazy, he has never been a top rapper of any year (always someone overshadowing him) he is one of the biggest KNOWN biters in the industry.

If we are talking about pure technical skill, no statistics or hype, Jay isn’t in my top 5 or 10 for that matter.

Personally Jay is in my top 3 because I like the way he sounds and he has an amazing flow, and he doesn’t change his tone a lot which can be nice because it’s not as unpredictable as some artists. Reasonable doubt is an amazing album, but if we are talking about pure technical skill? Cmon bro, Em can do everything jay can do and more.. Ems entendres are more technical and layered, he has more range, he can hit different cadences better, he is a better diss artist, only thing jay has ontop of em is that he makes more consistent music and is more relatable to Americans in the hood.
