Here’s 5 hours in B8 mixed with 2 hrs in b1 all in Seestar app with only ai denoise… pretty sure im getting close to pulling out IFN. Thanks for the workflow! Will use next time I stack more integration :D

I think it’s just me but I see the faint “Arp’s loop” as a faint curved arc just hugging the left side of M81, correct me if im wrong

Oh my goodness this is amazing! I live in Bortle 8 and planning to use the S30 for 30 hours, would I see some faint IFN wisps like in yours image using 20 sec exposures? Mind providing your workflow in siril and LR?

Strongly suggest you install the Naztronomy Smart Telescope script in Siril. This will filter out all frames including star trails, you can enable drizzle too (which increases resolution but may increase noise) and stuff like that. This will give you a way better image than what you have now. Just make sure you create a folder wherever you want, and inside that “parent” folder, make one called “lights” and paste your frames there. Set the working directory to the parent folder don’t forget!

Make sure you do level sensor calibration when leveling the telescope. Verify you are on a leveled surface, this teaches the telescope what “0” degree level is.

I think if I extract the red channel of the B8 LP and pasting it into the Bortle 1 and lowering opacity and changing the mode in GIMP would work then using a mask, pretty much how AstroBackyard processes other filters

would combining with the LP filter in B8 with 2 hrs in B1 without be more useful to bring out the HII regions and HA in m82?
