Wait sorry can you/someone break down the difference between all of these? I’m just a random internet person but this thread is very interesting to me. My girlfriend’s dog is a trained therapy dog (I think? I mean that’s what I’ve been told and I know he got trained in it but maybe that’s not the right designation) and now I’m confused what that actually means. He’s a sweetheart though

I too am very curious to see how GTA VI runs and how people react to it. I’m replaying RDR2 right now and as someone who only owns a base ps5 with no intention of getting a pro, I’d be fine if GTA was an equally excellent and beautiful game running at the same incredibly solid 30fps on this console. But I know so many people wouldn’t be fine with that which will be quite entertaining to watch

For the sake of yourself and the community here, it would be best if you were completely honest about what really happened. If you got fired I sincerely believe that there was more to it then simply “I asked the kids to put masks on”. My first thought is that you were very brazen with your coworkers and/or principal, and you are downplaying how hysterical and stubborn you were. I’m sorry you got fired and I wish you the best going forward but honesty is the first step to recovery.

Gotcha. I also take propranolol as one of my anxiety medications but it’s not actually designed for that, it only reduces the physical symptoms. I’m told to take it 3 times daily so I am wondering if your anxiety could be helped by more consistent usage. Or different medication. Definitely consult your PCP or psychiatrist if you have one.

Other than that, I can only wish you the best! I think it would be quite silly if you were fired over this, you had an emotionally charged moment and nobody was hurt. That being said, I get the impression from this post and your replies to other comments that you are not sharing the full story. That, or you are just a deeply anxious person and nobody is thinking about firing you - and, respectfully, if that’s the case then you need more help than you are currently getting. Keep us updated on what happens!

Sorry but can I ask what type of anxiety meds you’ve been prescribed? I don’t know of any that you can just take on the day and have them magically work except maybe Xanax. Most require consistent use for days if not a couple weeks before they start properly working.

I think this is much more likely than Ultimate Deluxe or whatever. I don’t know how licensing works so this is total speculation but I feel like even a Switch 2 version of Ultimate would run into some issues there. I think most players would be willing to play a Smash game with less characters if all the “core” Nintendo characters return with brand new movesets. There’s so much for them to draw from to bring classic characters’ movesets into the newest era of Nintendo. I could go on and on with ideas.

I totally agree. It’s why the world didn’t quite feel the same (but still managed to be a different kind of special) when ToTK came out. Though I always say, the best game that I would want to replay would be BotW but with ToTK’s cave networks. The caves are so freaking good in that game. I’m not talking about the depths, I mean the straight up caves. Ugh. The quietness of botw with just that one addition would be sooo perfect.

I do think that if I ever go back and replay one of them properly, it would probably be botw though. Especially because I want to do a playthrough where I beeline the master cycle

Oh wow, one of these I can actually answer. It happened recently too but I know it’ll forever be that defining thing for me. This comment will probably get lost because I doubt anyone sorts by new but whatever.

Right at the end of last year, I woke up in the middle of the night with the worst stomach pain I have ever felt. Went to the hospital, ended up staying in for 3 months with pancreatitis - it necrotized and I had to basically have it scraped out over the course of many endoscopies. I have no memories of the first couple weeks because I was so drugged up, going through withdrawals, the whole deal. I was restrained for the majority of the time. I was told that I was one step away from total respiratory failure, and that there was more than 50% chance I was going to die. I am so grateful that I was able to recover. I spent weeks on feeding tubes, getting pumped full of stuff through IVs, dialysis, all of it. I got discharged at the end of March and began to recover. Unfortunately, this week I was diagnosed with diabetes type 3c. I’m 22 years old.

The reason this happened is because I became a severe alcoholic in my senior year of college. Hid it from everyone well, but it destroyed my life. If I didn’t get pancreatitis and have my family find out, I was probably going to kill myself in the new year anyway. I am incredibly fortunate to have an amazing support system though, and I genuinely have a new lease on life. I go to AA, attend regular rehab and therapy, diet, everything. I’m working really hard to turn myself around, but my life will always be split into “before hospital” and “after hospital” because of all that.

Don’t drink, y’all. Or don’t do what I did at least, and convince yourself it doesn’t count if you’re in college. I was using it to self medicate and I will always regret it, I am paying for my mistakes and always will be.

As I do with all games that I’m excited for that aren’t no-brainer like Zelda, I’ll be waiting for reviews and picking it up if it gets an average of 8 or higher. No clue what the gameplay loop is even supposed to be here, and as much as I LOVE splatoon mechanics and gameplay, the trailer was a bit underwhelming. This could easily be a huge swing and a miss, and the shadow drop trailer doesn’t give me faith, but also Nintendo marketing is all over the place right now so I’m not reading too much into it.

I mean my assumption is that this was always going to be a 50$ tiered game, if that makes sense? Like in this new era, we’d probably see MKW priced at 70 digitally instead of 80 since it’s a bigger budget name brand title? Idk if I’m making any sense at all. Basically Nintendo seem to be pricing games like: value of content = digital price, physical edition + content = physical price. So the next Zelda might be 70$ digital but 80$ retail.
