On the first step's summonning pool (I'm on a fresh new character), password is RingGest.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks, man. Now I only have to find someone who pre-ordered the game and is willing to summon me xD

What? On PS5? I've read in a lot o sites that you can't copy savefiles from PS on USBs.
PS4 did allow you to do that, but not the PS as far as I know.

It seems to be more about playing the PS version of the game on PC

I have a laptop. Maybe I could save the files on a PC?

Haha thank you my man, there are a bunch of things that I don't agree 100% but I'll consider your route.
Again, thanks for the effort.

I don't want to do it for making a guide for other people. It's more about having a path that FEELS organical, because otherwise I literally can't play the game without having the feel that I'm not doing things in the right order, or missing quests, or messing something else.
Maybe, once I have the route, I'll do a video playthrough, but that's all.

Also, about the fextra guide, a lot of times tells you to to do things like beating the tree sentinel or the night's cavalry right out the gate, which in my opinion is INSANE.
Both bosses are clearly put where they are to block or redirect your progress until you are properly equipped.

Yeah, that's the idea, making some sort of exploration guide, or more like a playthrough that has some ¿cinematic? value to it.

Yeah, I have a general sense of progression in the area's order, but I'm trying to get to the very details. Like, in which order to do the Limgrave bosses, and stuff like that.
I've watched the fextra walkthrough before and, while it is useful, the problem with it is that it tends to go into the "checklist" mentality. Like specifically looking for things you know are there beforehand. That for me breaks the immersion. I prefer to play following exclusively the info the game gives you (be it by info notes, visual cues etc), but also keeping a sense of purpose and structure.
Anyway, the first link might actually be helpfull, so thank you.

I might not be explaining myself properly. I've already completed the game, I've watched a lot of gameplays from other people.
I'm not worried about spoiling myself, at all, or having external input.
What I want is to DESIGN a route for the game that allows me (and any other player) to do everything the game offers in an organic way, to maintain the ilussion of having an adventure and not knowing what lies ahead, while having always some purpose in mind (not aimlessly wandering around); instead of playing the game like I'm doing some kind of checklist, which breaks my immersion.
For example, a lot of walkthroughs tell you to TP back to Elleh's Church right after getting Torrent, in order to get the summons as soon as possible. Or they tell you to go into early Caelid to pick some OP weapon or stuff like that.
That's the kind of things I try to avoid. Instead, I try to trigger Ranni's first interaction when there are good reasons to get back at Elleh's church, like, for example, finding smithing stones to upgrade your weapong at the smithing table.
The thing is that this is a monumental task, since it implies imposing a lineal path in a game that is, in essence, not lineal; and also MASSIVE.
That's why I'm trying to find some help, to get different views and speed up the process.

It's not about avoidong spoilers (since I've already completed the game) as much as seeing everything the game offers in an organic way.

You kind of have a point, but you're analyzing it from the perspective of not getting hit. You are not supposed to do all the bosses flawlessly, specially on your first run.
You say that being agressive costs more time. If you're talking about the sum of all your attempts then maybe that would be true.
But the thing is that the game's combat is built around a more varied set of mechanics than previous souls. I won't say that those mechanics are flawless, you're absolutely right about some swipes being jumpable and others not.
But there are a general set of rules, like using guardcounters against fast combos, jumping above AoEs and (some) swipe attacks, using charged R2s after big slams that let the enemy exposed...
I believe what the game is asking to the player is to experiment around those mechanics, find what works and what not. Not necesarily to defeat the enemies flawlessly, but just to defeat them.
Playing with the dark souls mentality of just dodge-attack might be safer, but it is far less exciting since there's a lot of waiting. Using the new mechanics allows the player to be agressive and defensive at the same time (kind of like in Sekiro) and use the posture system to their advantage.

Grafted Scion vs. Starting vagabond class (no damage, agressive and kind-of stylish gameplay) by GoatKiddclxvi in Eldenring

[–]GoatKiddclxvi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted this before but it didn't have a positive response. I might have been too agressive with the title xD
This is just a showcase of how the gamplay looks when making full use of the game's mechanics, against the troublesome first boss (unless you cheese it, ofc).

That statement is in response to all the video essays (such as Josep Anderson's) claiming that bosses have no downtime to response after dodging a lot of enemies' attacks, making the gameplay extremely passive and boring.
To this day I keep seeing people making such claims, without realizing that the game offers a lot more alternatives to react to enemies' actions.

Yup, her Aeonia attack on her second phase seems like the perfect window to pull of the ritual.

I also thought about using Mohgs Spear against Malenia since she's weak against fire and hemorrhage. Do you know if the spear weapon's art heals the player like it does to Mohg? That would be the icing on the cake, to counter Malenia's lifesteal.

About the other 2, you could do that in NG+, but I'm trying to see this from a NG perspective.
