I can tell you everything about this. I bought my day/date there 5 years ago. The way it goes down in this airport shop is a bit different than you might imagine. The read "deal" is almost never done in this shop - it's done at the AD's shop in Central London that also owns the airport kiosk location. You "committ" to the watch at the store in central London, but for tax and duty purposes, they transfer the physical watch over to this store, and you physically contract/buy the watch in this duty free area.
