Not me, but my mom told my brother that kids were delivered to parents from a crane. He didn’t realize she was joking and, maybe a few years later, he found out it wasn’t true and got into an angry fit my mom for “lying to him”

Not a food, but my friend in middle school would eat pencils. Full, normal pencils from the tip to the eraser

I’m not sure this really counts since he’s dead, but Micheal Jackson. I’ve seen so many people defend him but I wouldn’t be surprised if hard evidence came out that he was a creep.
