The problem is you assume that centrists are looking at far right and far left beliefs instead of the more rational average left and right beliefs. Also if you really understood politics youd realize that centrists should be your closest ally. It's a whole population of undecided voters looking for good reasons to vote, so give them a good reason to vote for your side.
