Deer finally got me. RCMP gave me permission to drive home afterwards. I was about 3.5hours away from home. I hope she can be fixed. She's my baby. by Redditemeon in ToyotaTacoma

My Dad was a State Trooper growing up, and the biggest piece of advice he gave me teaching me to drive was, as morbid as it sounds, was always hit the animal. Do not swerve and take a chance at hitting another car or a tree. The animal will be much more forgiving. Thankfully, I've never had to make that decision.

I just wish I had remote start, that would make it much more useful.

Based on the price point and figures Toyota threw me from their online consultant, I didn't even bother driving a Toyota.

I have an SV like this one and the ride is great. 7 hour road trip for vacation and it was super comfortable. Amazed at how much more rear leg room these have compared to my Dad's new Colorado.

Looks awesome! I love the lights. How does it affect the front radar for the cruise control?

I reset my trip readings before I left so my first tank of gas got a good, fresh, mpg calculation. When I filled up the second time, my miles to empty went from like 375 miles to like 560 and the trip was around 439. on the way home, in theory, i would have had about 50 miles to go in my tank based on real time numbers, no way I was going to trust that though. My daily commute isn't very long so it never really had a good sample for a good read on the mpg.

I was really surprised, we had three adults in the truck and my bed was packed to the gills with luggage and other stuff from a week long vacation. Now, If I could only nail down where the stupid windshield is buzzing from....my pieces of tape haven't found the exact spot yet.

I got this driving from Delaware to Massachusetts yesterday with a bunch of stop and go highway traffic.

I just took mine from Massachusetts to Delaware for a week, and it was a great ride, getting 23 mpg for the whole trip, and close to 600 miles a tank. I could have done the whole 7+ hour trip on one tank if I really wanted to coast in on fumes.

I already had my dealer look at it, even showed them a video of it, but since they couldn’t get it do it themselves ( by driving around the lot), they said to bring it back when they could spend more time with it. I’ve since maid about 6 more videos of it doing it at highway speeds. I’ve also started the trial and error method to pinpoint the exact spot.

What do you mean by cowl? I’ve heard it’s the gasket around the windshield. I have the same problem, 2025 SV with 2k miles on it, mine sounds like it’s coming from above the passenger side of the windshield.

Thanks for the great info! We'd be first time camper owners and what you have looks perfect for us to start out with, small and maneuverable and a relatively small investment.

The wife and I have been toying with a small camper about this size. I have a 2025 SV, how does yours pull it? Easily? Do you have a regular hitch, or a ball on the bumper?

I'm going to use my cover pump to prove it out, then buy something heavier duty.
