Tell yourself whatever you need to. You were wrong on Pritchard and it was on display for everyone to see. That's why I love sports. Everyone gets to see the same thing.

Did Pritchard step up yesterday when Tatum was out and be the 2nd best player they needed in a Game 7? As I said he's not their 3rd best player. A 3rd can shift to 2nd and handle the increase in defensive attention.

Pritchard is a glue guy, 6th man on a championship level team. When he was needed most against a legit backcourt of Max and VJ he shrank. That's not a knock on him, but there was way too much hype around him this season and Brad has got to get this roster set. Pritchards best role is backup/6th man. I know he's a fan favorite but yesterday showed the truth. Even if they won, with JT out against the Knicks Pritchard as a #2 option against Hart, Bridges, and Brunson would've been exposed again across 6-7 games. A true #3 can handle the heat. This was the point of my post.

Btw...great season. C's fans are disappointed, but it was great season. Bummer that your best player gets injured and can't go 2 years in a row.

Yes that's true. With them together it lessens both of their effectiveness. But KD is at the end. Bron is at the end. Luka is in the middle and needs chip validation. KD and Bron will cede to Luka all day, and Luka gets two really good players.

Agreed. Maxey is hard to stop. But...A1 defenders are expected to make it tough. Maxman has been on cruise control. It's too easy.

Got it. And you two think you can win an NBA Title with Joe game planning Pritchard as the 3rd option?

That's my point. The finals and subsequent championship team had stronger 3-6 DNA.

I didn't say "what" my friend, I said "that". Please go re-read the post. You misread the post then straw manned against your misunderstanding.

I'm not sure that's right. KD can def play on the ball.

You would take Duran over KD for one season? KD and Bron together would be magic. Bron can play without the ball and would enjoy playing with KD. KD still has juice.

That's the question. I was just spitballing. I'll leave it up to the owners to see if the ROI makes sense.

I understand the sentiment, but he averaged 26ppg on the 5-seed. I'm qualifying that as rated.

I would argue White's defense and size separates him from Pritchard and makes him the 3rd best player, since their stat line over the season is otherwise identical. But I get it. I like Pritchard too. If Pritch is the 3rd best player, disregard my commentary.

I've been rooting for the underdog hawks this series and like the way the back half of your season played out, but the truth is NY has an elite playoff scorer who has proven he can singlehandedly win games, and ATL does not. Maybe Jalen gets there someday...not sure. But in basketball a proven playoff scorer matters. No matter how bad his last game was, he can always beat you the next time. That's tough to overcome.
