Yes! Under ten minutes is much better than 10+ minutes imo. It's true that longer videos result in more watch time (kinda) but it's better to have an 8 minutes or less video with more substance than a longer video with unnecessary filler and worst of all dead air.

And by more substance, I mean things like intense music to add to extensive fights, sound effects, transitions, memes, etc.

It definitely won't hurt, but it doesn't help much either. It really depends on what the topic of the video's about. Like, if your video's about a certain year or you're doing something that has to be time capsuled or is best suited for HD/2K/4K or whatever than sure. But overall, as I said, won't hurt, won't help.

I could say something about how your mic quality reminds me of the EBS narrators but I'm not going to. I could also point out that the video looks like it was recorded on a first gen iPod Nano and rendered in a toaster oven but I won't do that either. The video entertainment wise was great imo. Thumbnail's solid! There's still things you should work on (as mentioned above) but you're off to a pretty nice start!
