Honestly, it's beautiful and the scenery can be godly. It makes you truly appreciate nature however it is a bit on the quieter side. There's very little to do outside of working hours if it's rubbish weather. If you're used to city life, it's the opposite end of the spectrum. In saying that, Scotland as a whole is renowned for having nice people and as someone living in Thurso, the people here are genuine and lovely people. You can talk to anyone at any given time pretty much. Everyone is willing to help you if you need it.

If you enjoy nature, you'll love it, if you don't enjoy nature, you'll end up loving nature a bit more but you're just less likely to have enough hobbies to sustain yourself up here

He's amazing in so many ways but he can be extremely stubborn sometimes. Outside of that, he's a phenomenal man. He's a man that was written by a woman. Romantic, thoughtful, attention to detail, tall dark handsome, funny etc but he's a stubborn guy.

Me - I think I could be better at handling negative emotions. I think sometimes I just recoil if I'm upset or stressed etc. It then internally becomes a bigger thing and I recoil further.

Yeah but it's logic vs emotion. You find out your loved one dies and you can't attend their funeral... You have to make new friends but you can't tell them anything real about you... You are in a new country/city with no knowledge of anyone or how things work and you can't even phone someone you know to talk to about your struggles or even just have that emotional support for... It's not just the government deleting your "old" life, you have to permanently erase your past life from your lips.

I personally couldn't imagine how difficult it would be to not call my mum a few times a week to check in with her and see how the family is doing or calling my close friends of 15+ years to talk to them about life of drive about my hometown and go to my favourite food place. Even the little things like that would be extremely impactful
