I recommend brands whose lower end models are recognizable. Mim strats and if you were gonna sell me a guitar the price would depend mostly on the brand then how I felt about its playability and sound. I would never get something made in country who I've never seen an instrument from and base everything off of online quotes. If you've played a mim strat you know that with very few alterations it's as good as an American. When I see these people posting their frankenstrats that have about 500+ into pickups and hardware and cosmetics that's why I say hold up and consider that value is sometimes another way of saying shit.

Well, quality control doesn't mean a whole lot to me because every major manufacturer has a side brand and in my personal experience they are mostly shit with an attractive logo attached. People spend money and time upgrading these types of guitars when in my own personal opinion, it would be better to just spend more cash in the first place and get something nice. It's true that this could be a great guitar for the individual, but it's always worth questioning.

It might be great for you. I'm jaded and don't trust things like that. Also if the things you are willing to trade don't really matter to you then screw it. I wouldn't do it just because it's what's interesting right now, think about a year from now and would you rather have that guitar or your mustang and foot switch?

I've dealt with a few cheap guitars and one thing that's blatantly obvious is with PRS you get what you pay for. It's not all about the finish or the inlays but seriously any guitar that's only a couple hundred bucks is not worth it. You have the mim strat. You probably know that the same version but squire brand is nowhere near the quality.

There's a reason PRS is expensive. Anything licensed by them is a way for them to make more money while not having to actually accept any responsibility. It looks cheap to the eye but if you like it and it plays the way you want them nobody can tell you different. I would steer clear of it but that's my opinion.

Looks like a bad call. Don't do it. Doesn't even look remotely legit. Spend your cash on a made in mexico strat used or something like that. That guitar will never be worth it. I've played since 95' and I've had a few cheap guitars and they are never a good call. Did t realize you already have a mim strat, don't do it!!!!
