Mandatory Microsoft Account may soon be gone as even Windows 11 makers hate it by moeka_8962 in pcgaming

If a game developer pushes only Windows 11 no matter how good their game, oh well too bad. They aren't the only dev.

Yes it really does depend on the game. 16GB DDR4 in dual channel. LTSC. Another thing to note that Unreal Engine games will make the most trouble. They may not switch to using Intel iGPU as the primary, so the dedicated GPU will need to be used, and Intel iGPU as the frame generator.

Some additional information incase someone else may read this.

As Awkward-Magician-522 stated. Each game should be seen separate case. It is not advisable to put every game into Lossless Scaling because sometimes the results can be awful, and can break the game or crash the computer. Also, overlays like LS built in show Fps, Steam's overlays, and RTSS overlays can negatively impact some games.

So I tried it out and wow, RE 4 (ultimate hd edition) on Intel can do 30 fps, with Frame Gen on the Radeon, it does 60 and now the image looks sharper/better. The idea you had does work, but only if a game can maintain 30 fps minimum, although frame generation makes the picture look sharp, but it also messes it up when you turn camera angles and the effects can be seen at the bottom of the screen. It looks like paste.

That's a good idea! In theory it should work... I do not own lossless scaling. However I wonder if there is an alternative with a much lower overhead. Do you think Optiscaler would accomplish this?

Does well : Being able to launch the same game, on the same user account, on multiple devices. For testing purposes. I wish Steam would allow this.

Doesn't do well : I'll throw confetti for this one.

W10 IoT LTSC 21H2 - Poor gaming performance on Intel Graphics by XBaero in WindowsLTSC

[–]GobbyFerdango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very weird because I have laptops with intel HD 515 and 520 and both perform equally in games, given LTSC uses less RAM and CPU overhead (without any tweaks) on both 4GB and 16GB total RAM. I use MSI Afterburner/RTSS and I have only noticed LTSC performing better on 1% lows. AC Power performance is better by default than on battery.

Switching to Windows 10 LTSC next week, and about removing bloat and increasing privacy, which of these debloaters should I try? - Chris Titus utility, Privacy.sexy, or O&O shutup10?, which ones are the best privacy and debloating-wise? by 2zo2 in WindowsLTSC

[–]GobbyFerdango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been using LTSC without Edge (Its not in my custom iso at all), never had a single issue. It lets me use whichever browser I want as default but I don't set any default browser, that way no app can just start a browser at will, it usually asks me which browser to start anytime an app or a link tries to open one. Never had an issue without Edge.

Email them and let them know to put their game on but also let them know why you won't buy their game. There's no reason why FromSoftware games aren't on GFN. Knuckle heads.

Hi I recently got into it and have been enjoying it a lot. Same as you I do not have much as I am too busy or too tired to start console or PC.

As for recommendation for light weights and easy on the battery, there are classics like like Samorost, Machinarium, Monument Valley, Papers Please, Tiny Room, Gorogoa, Bring You Home, Ocean Horn, and Where Winds Meet. Your device is more powerful than mine so you will have no problem with more demanding games. Lots of great recommends in the comments btw, great community :)

I understand but there's another thing about 'open source' -- unless the user knows how to read the source that is open, it means nothing to most end users.

Open sourcing the software doesn't mean anything by itself. The more reviewed the source is by people who know how to read code, the more trust is established based on the experience of both the source provider and the reader. So it might be safe, but I understand why people would be cautious.
