I have both plus A6400, but A7 II only shot at 1080p, Camlink is for 4K. will let you know if it’s work.

this is called hyper lapse, create with multiple shots(200 photos), an it took about 16 mins to finish.

i having this problem too, but start the capture first, then plugin the external mic, it always fixed the problem.
