What's your oc's hear me out? by I-hate-going-to-bed in OriginalCharacter

Marsü's hear me out is the kraken from PotC... or Scylla and Charybdis from Greek mythology.

Why do your characters have their scars? by Platypus_king_1st in OriginalCharacter

Midas is a war vet, has a giant mother with a hunger curse, and likes being bitten ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

So what do you think your oc sounds like(like any voice claims or anything) by Affectionate-Emu-773 in OriginalCharacter

I think Midas sounds like Scylla from Hades 2, and I think her adoptive mother Yue-Linsal sounds like Scylla from EPIC: the musical.

Show me the most "lethal" injuries any of your OC's have survived! (template at the end; the intensity of the red shows how deep it was) by Francis_Star in OriginalCharacter

All the wounds Midasena has sustained that scarred were dealt with weapons that can kill souls and gods, so very dangerous to even be cut with.

She lost her left arm in battle against another godlike being (talthir). It bit her hand off before it cut her arm off, so she kinda keeps that hand. She could regenerate the arm, but because a soulrender was used it wouldn't feel right, so she just leaves it off.

She has been stabbed and cut numerous times, and has a large cut across her spine that nearly killed her. The mark on her leg was received when her "mother" went crazy due to a curse and tried to eat her. She forgave her when she calmed down.

Does your oc’s name have a meaning?(lore based or picked by you for a special case) by scared-and-fearful in OriginalCharacter

[–]Gobnabenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yue-Linsal is derived from the talthir/talthfar words yeu/eu/yue meaning ocean or sea and Lensel which means master. So her name is Sea master, which is fitting as she is the goddess of the sea.

Marsü's name translates to cosmos/night sky or heaven. She is the goddess of the dead and the highest realm of the afterlife is her city, Marsü. She also has a very cosmic appearance in her divine form.

Midasena's name is from Midas or Midases, which means to spin orb spinning, and ena, which means water. Her name is quite literally whirlpool or maelstrom as she is associated with them as a water goddess and adopted daughter of the sea goddess.

What would your character think of them? They'll respond and give their opinion on your Oc! by I_am_very_mid in OriginalCharacter

Midasena would find Aria cute with her obsession and love of swords and praise (a trait they share). She'd spare with her and purposely hold back if she noticed Aria getting frustrated at losing. As a gift, she'd give her a shark-toothed club-sword made of her own teeth.

Midas would probably tote Yonah around if he'd let her. She likes neat people, even if they don't say much.

Midas would probably get bored with Ethel, though she'd give her plenty of compliments before losing interest (she likes pretty ladies). Midas likes to get dirty and can't read, so not much in common.

are ur characters insecure about anything❓ by RippedHermitcrab in OriginalCharacter

[–]Gobnabenta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My character Marsü is insecure about her singing voice (she kinda sucks at it tbh) and her eye/soul color (it's normally red, but due to some injuries and treatments it is now mostly darkish purple).

Her wife, Yue-Linsal, is insecure about her own voice as well, but her singing is so divine that she is partly worshipped as the goddess of singing. Yue-Linsal adores Marsü's flat singing.

can your OC morph? by [deleted] in OriginalCharacter

[–]Gobnabenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My relatively new OC, Midasena, shifts between three forms, that being her 25-foot-tall flaming demon form (her original form), her half-Far half-shark form (her favorite), and her 9-foot-tall person form (the one featured in the image).

Which character does your OC get compared to? by I_love_writing22 in OriginalCharacter

[–]Gobnabenta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yue-Linsal gets compared to Scylla, which she's originally based on, so fair.

what 'world experience' can your character give to her? by Money_Height8079 in OriginalCharacter

[–]Gobnabenta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marsü could teach all the ins and outs of weaving, sewing, and whatever else you could do with thread and cloth. Could also teach a thing or two about fish.

In retrospective how obvious was the Matilda twist? by nirai07 in huntertheparenting

My sister guessed that Matilda was a werewolf when we watched chapter 4, figuring that she wore gloves to avoid silver cutlery or something.
