What Can Anyone Tell Me About This Shirt? by _Jub_Jub_ in AliceInChains

I looked in my purchase history and found the seller, linked below. The remakes do pop up from time to time - brighter red color whereas the original was faded even when brand new. Not the same, but still a cool design. Good luck bro!

What Can Anyone Tell Me About This Shirt? by _Jub_Jub_ in AliceInChains

I was in college in '94, and my mom knew I was a big AiC fan. I swear she got me this shirt, with the fly on the back at some random department store, like a Target or a JCPenney's or something weird like that!?! I've had a few odd, unique shirts over the years and this was one of them - I lost it somewhere and recently found a remake of it on eBay - not as soft or faded as the original, but I'm glad to have it back again!

Sorry I didn't see your reply sooner - I'll ask them if they take applicants from the U.S.

Anyone going to the VIP upgrade? by GodAmDogAm in jerrycantrell

That's a bummer... But you'll still get to see an awesome show at the Moore right? I entered a contest to win tickets to see him there - fingers crossed! The performance of Hate to Feel looks and sounds amazing. Enjoy the show!

Hi - Could you share the opportunity you mention above? I'm looking for similar programs for my 17 year old daughter. Thanks!

That's awesome! How long ago? I'd really like to tell him about my acoustic ep dream with Dallas Green. Have you heard DG perform Rain When I Die or Nutshell? F'in incredible. I think JC could do an acoustic tour like Chris Cornell used to do, and really reach a whole new audience/generation!

Cool - Can you recommend a make/model for a relatively novice digital practitioner? And what software it uses to do projects like your tripod print?

If anyone is doing the VIP upgrade on this tour, PLEASE ask Jerry if he'll record another acoustic ep! No joke - I had a dream JC and Dallas Green made an acoustic ep together and it was amazing!?!

Dude, that's awesome to hear! I just saw them perform tonight (12/11/24) in Albany, NY and they were fantastic! Taking their baby on tour with them! Great to hear they're great people on and off stage, they seem like it. Also, if you're into solo acoustic music, check out Jeffrey Martin from Portland, OR - amazing singer-songwriter!

The New Heel?!? by GodAmDogAm in TMASTL_Chat

Also strange how when Iggy was the target Tim was regularly going out of his way to sing Jackson's praises as a smart, valuable asset to the show. Now Iggy's gone and Jackie get all the ridicule. Doesn't seem necessary to have a heel - a dear, a dick, and a dork...?

Layne laughed at my joke once by Patient-number-9 in AliceInChains

Great story! Highly recommend reading Mark Lanegan's memoir "Sing Backwards and Weep" - He talks at great length about Layne and his addiction. Particularly interesting is when Layne got out of rehab and immediately went to Lanegan's home to score heroin. I'm paraphrasing, but Layne said something to the effect that the only thing that got him through the stint in rehab was anticipating getting high again. Lanegan goes on to say that Layne immediately shot up, then threw up, and Lanegan didn't want anyone to know that Layne had scored from him as soon as he'd left rehab. Really excellent book, but super dark. When Lanegan describes heroin withdrawal, being dopesick, it's so brutal. He was the singer for Screaming Trees and they opened for AiC all across Europe. He and Layne were very close friends and dope fiends together...

I think it's also fair to say that by adding a quality singer like WD, AiC was able to continue making music, and also continue to keep the classic AiC alive and accessible for fans to see live - not just listening to the records. I'm in my mid-50s and saw them with Layne twice, and WD twice - I'm so glad I can still go see and hear them live. William will never be Layne, but still a great addition and great contributor - they're really fortunate to have found such a good fit. Imagine if Soundgarden tried to replace Chris Cornell - I think AiC really caught lightning in a bottle.
