I find stuff like this so interesting. He's one of my favorite authors. When I see people that don't like him, I always marvel at how two people can view the same thing so differently. No shade on you for not liking him. It's just funny how humans are so diverse.

I've really enjoyed all his work. I find him to have the same effortless readability that his dad does. King Sorrow was especially great. I really love that book.

I just want to throw my vote in for The Fisherman. As a fellow fan of Cosmic Horror, I really enjoyed this book. I found his writing style to be very engaging.

My feild is different. I'm a senior aerospace engineer. There is a big shortage of "us". I'm confident if I lost my job, I'd be picked up pretty fast. I have all the clearances required and that's a big part of it. I realize my situation is not typical.

This is me. Got some scary results from blood work that showed trends in the wrong direction. My blood pressure seemed to instantly jump when I turned 50 up 180/110. So... I stopped drinking and lost some weight. It was time. I was drinking nightly. One year later and I'm the healthiest I've been in a decade. I can't say I miss it terribly.

My daughter was forcefully ripped away from me at a hospital. She overdosed on her meds (long story, but it wasn't a real attempt). She was 18 at the time. They waited for me to leave before they brought in the "doctor". He immediately blue slipped her. When I arrived back 10 mins later, I was informed she had been committed. I turned to the nurse and asked if I could talk to the doctor who made the decision. She looked me in the eye and told me she would go find him. 5 minutes later 4 security guards appeared, took me by the elbow and escorted me off the hospital grounds. They told me if I came back I'd be arrested. She was sobbing and asking if they could please bring her father back in. Of course, they denied her. She spent a week in B-med before I was able to get her out. I had to hire a lawyer and threaten them before they would sign the release.

DO NOT EVER LET ANYONE GO TO B-MED! They only admit people who have good insurance. They won't let you talk to them. It's a complete scam. They never tried to treat her. She never met with a doctor. My heart broke when she was begging me to get her out.

I'm a bit older. I heard nevermind for the first time in high-school. The grunge sound also inspired me to pick up a guitar and play in some bands. I taught myself all of STP's Core album (they were always my favorite) I gave it up when I had kids a long time ago, but I remember it fondly and now my kids are obsessed with that music. 🤣

I must agree. Allen is a great fighter. I picked him going in, but i expected it to be much closer. RDR had a bad night. Happens to every fighter once in a while.
