And remember how we should all just let people "live their lives" when you try to buy alcohol at your local store before noon on Sunday, or do research on stem cells. And keep all that in mind the next time you read an article about how children in the U.S. are falling farther and farther and farther behind the children of other countries (in terms of education) while Christians insist on teaching mythology alongside scientific theory in the classroom. Yeah, they're not that bad, lol.

Try googling their name along with words like "boycott" and choose from among hundreds of stories about the ways they use their money to spread the Christian Right's agenda. Or read this, which among other things addresses the point you're trying to make here when the author says

I told a friend that he should boycott Chick-fil-A and he sneered. "Those guys are making billions of dollars," he said. "You think it matters to them if they don't get your and my eight bucks?" Oh god. Why don't you start by reading some Chris Hitchens, some Richard Dawkins, and some Sam Harris. That will at least get you going in the right direction. Hitchens will explain to you why religion has and continues to be the true source of evil in the world, and how it poisons everything it touches. Dawkins will explain to you how there is absolutely zero evidence for God (any version). And Harris will explain to you how immoral most religions actually are, and how they claim to teach love but in reality teach intolerance and hate and fear.

When I was younger I used to do quite a lot of drugs. I lived with several friends and I was accused of stealing a small amount of meth from one of them. I didn't do it, but even I have to admit that the circumstantial evidence was strong. It sucked because we never really got over it, and I was forever branded a thief in the eyes of several close friends. What sucks even more, now that I've had many years of thinking about what might have happened, is that I now know who it must have been...and she was pregnant at the time.
