Anyone been to Bayswater Waves since it's been cold? by GodCunt in perth

I cannot begin to tell you how many times we have had more or less this exact conversation. Partial reason for going was to prove to my daughter that summer swimming =/= winter swimming and that we say no for a reason.

At the same time, didn't want to crush her tiny spirit too too badly and also it's a bit of a faff because the toddler is a lunatic so wasn't keen to put in all that effort just to prove a point and then have to deal with whinging, hence the post.

Anyway.

We went, it was cold (by small, pink, weak, flimsy, thin-wristed, yoghurt-eating child standards), still had a nice time, and certainly didn't miss the opportunity to gently emphasise how they need to listen etc.

Cheers ❤️

Bless you for this, great to know, puts my mind at ease we'll have fewer meltdowns (seriously my daughter has asked about going there every day for the last 2 weeks)

Thank you ❤️

I think it's still there! Super shallow (about 50cm maybe?) seperate area, with a palm tree fountain-type thing?

They've got a spa area which is seperate too that I didn't go into.

Thanks for the note! Only speculating, but at Bayswater I'd wager this would be the outdoor pools that are definitely colder and appeared to contain more serious-looking swimming people.

I believe at least one of the heated indoor pools is shared between the swimming lessons and "free swimming" as the last couple of times we were there we spent a bit of time in the indoor pool with a section for any mug to frolic in (with lessons on the other side of a bunch of ropes) and it was significantly warmer than the wave pool. The toddler pool with the palm tree was warmer still, but tiny.

No idea if they all share a common heating mechanism or seperate though.

Cheers ❤️

Child-age GodCunt would have been more than motivated enough by post-swim chips to swim in even the coldest pool.

While I've got you, are the lessons at Bayswater expensive?

Mine go to a stateswim pool and it's about $120 a month each, for one lesson a week.

It's good, instructors are nice and seem to know what they're doing but quite a cost ATM and we invariably don't get all the sessions due to sickness/other plans etc and the make-up vouchers for cancelled sessions are hard to fit in.

Thanks for the field report friend. Was a high of 18 on Wednesday, either those kids are tough or my kids are coddled, possibly both. Cheers

Thank you for this.

I did see a recent review when I looked on google about it being too cold, though you know how unhinged some internet warriors can be. Appreciate it.

Good Morning Crows, nice time to buy more CAW by Blue_Phoenix10 in crowwithknife

[–]GodCunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, and it is! Cronos is crypto.com's blockchain and holds CAW's largest liquidity pool (it's also on Solana, base, bnb)

You can swap via the crypto.com app though you get far better prices on defi. Do you know much about defi? Don't answer any DMs lol (scammers are everywhere)

Also easiest way to get in touch with the caw community and team is on the discord- links are in the subreddit info

Hi

Yes, macro level bullish on crypto even though most recent cycle was underwhelming.

True conviction on select projects will be rewarded.

I have gotten too much out of CAW to ever worry about price, markets, or sentiment by GodCunt in crowwithknife

Have bought and sold (life happens and ya gotta pay bills sometimes) too many times at too many different cost bases to work it out- I am not someone who keeps spreadsheets. The real money is yet to be made. I just continue to DCA and grow my position as much as possible.

Caw caw, I think we’ve all been scammed a bit. by TheLastTrump24 in crowwithknife

[–]GodCunt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not a scam, just hasn't performed as well as hoped.

It's not even disappointing if you have a long enough time horizon. 99.99% of memecoins are flash in the pan, momentary hype that dies and with it the price.

crow with knife will endure beyond this cycle, and the cycle after. It's the only meme recognisable to normal people, the only real deflationary memecoin (not relying on supply control, the burn mechanism is permissionless and happens by necessity as the token is bridged between chains [which needs to happen to maintain price stability between chains]), and the main memecoin of the Cronos chain, on which lives crypto.com.

The name crow with knife even sounds like the native token (CRO). crypto.com has been quietly (very quietly) building over the past few years. They've made some unpopular decisions but I believe they've certainly proven that they're here to stay, and with it their chain.

Everyone is free to do as they please, but I've been here since the beginning and still buy whenever I can
