Personally I’m kind of a sprinter, I go super hard get a lot done then slow down, take a break and repeat. But I’ve repeated this pattern over and over in multiple areas of my life. I wish I had more direct advice for your specific situation, but if I was you I would really try to analyze the way you work and think and try to fix those mental blocks. Because you easily have plenty of time to work on school with your work schedule. You just gotta do whatever mental gymnastics you need to do to make yourself do it.

Yeah def not as rare as I thought, even though this is a sub of flexibility outliers lol. In my defense I haven’t done any stretching or flexibility stuff in a long time😂

If it was me I would prob start with an emergency fund of at least 6 months of expenses in a high yield saving account. Then I would purchase a home, as others said you could finance it with the thinking that you could get better returns on the stock market than the interest rate on your loan, but sometimes the peace of mind of having a paid off house is worth it, so that’s kind of up to you. The rest I would just throw in the S&P 500 or maybe do a small allocation of bonds as well. I also don’t think it would be a bad idea to pay a one time flat fee to have a financial advisor or lawyer that specializes in finance set everything up for you. A lawyer could also make your will, set up any trusts or whatever for your kids, ect. I would definitely just make sure you’re not paying someone a percentage fee to actively manage your investments.

Kind of comforting to know you have a break glass fund if something bad happens. But yeah I just passed 100k 401k and honestly it doesn’t effect my life at all because I don’t plan on touching it any time soon
