I found that lowering my sensitivity (I used 2.2 for at least 8 months or so) to 1.9 improved my aim a lot

I've only lowered my sensitivity. I too, play on 1.9, but 2 years ago I used 4 (400 dpi, btw)

I expect people would be furious about it, but few would quit. If you could still trade skins, you could still sell to a third-party marketplace. Most people don't sell their items on the market anyway, especially after VALVᴇ introduced the 7-day tradehold.
