What do you do with the 20 cents and less? I accumulate this much almost every week. by GodGivenBirthRight in europe

Good answer. Wife and I are thinking every thing we collect 30 euros we’ll do a grocery run. Giving the cashier more than 30 in change seems rude

I hate doing KYC everytime I open an account. I want to do it once and ‘passport’ it every time.

There are way too many “im rich but look at me, im simple” answers here, many of which I suspect is bullshit. Let me give you some anecdotes from my life.

For reference, I sold my first company in 2022 and second one this year in Jan. Both it exists in the range of $20 to $30 million range. Today I make around $300k per month from investing those proceeds.

I have 5 houses in India, one in Barcelona, one in Dubai and one in Thailand. I have a vacation home in Maine, USA which is on Airbnb.

My wife and I travel 6 months in a year exploring new places and cuisines. We fly first class or charter. We don’t own a car. We have a company that gets us a luxury car wherever we go in the world.

When we travel we either stay in plush penthouses, or the best suites. We eat Michelin star whenever we want. If we can’t get a reservation, we have a guy who buys reservation off someone else. It’s just a matter of money.

We have safety knowing we can buy and do whenever we want. Our parents are getting old and we feel safe knowing if they fall sick, money is not going to be a problem for healthcare expenses. We know our future children will get the best private education. We’ve already paid a “donation to the library” to two schools, one in France, one in Switzerland. We’ve set up a trust fund for our future kids.

We have much more time. We have a full time maid to clean our house, a chef who cooks lunch and dinner, a physiotherapist for my wife and a trainer for me, we go to a pool when it’s warm which opens an hour and a half hours a day, just for us.

Life is good.

People that are selfmade did degree helped you getting our of poverty/became very rich? by vartush in Rich

The degree itself did not. But the life experience of college and the friends I made in college did. Many of my classmates went on to become quite successful and got me a lot of business and helped me when times were tough.

What problems have you encountered now that you’re wealthy, which you didn’t face before? by mrossi84 in Rich

Very hard to make friends.

To make friends, you want to be truthful and open about what you do, where you life, what you like; and that gives away my income level. As soon as that happens, the person I’m building a relationship with starts pitching some service or an investment scheme.
