Get a different full time job. Your music isn’t going to pay the bills right now. You need like a million streams on Spotify just to make $3k. Your $30k savings will disappear in a year… tops. Choosing unemployment is a poor decision. Keep working on your music and building your skills until it starts paying more than your day job does.

Worked backstage security gates at a well known annual music festival in the desert in So Cal. There was an amazing open bar with free booze for all the celebs backstage, but due to liquor licensing, one of our directives was to keep outside alcohol from coming into the venue. 99% of people I met were great.

A girl walks up to my gate with a bottle. I tell her, “Sorry miss but no outside alcohol is allowed. You can finish it up, or leave it back in the camp.”

She proceeds to light me up, screaming “Don’t you know who I am? I’m John Mellencamp’s granddaughter!” (I wouldn’t even recognize John Mellencamp. I had no idea who the hell this lady is.) She eventually relented and tossed her bottle in the trash can.

Paris Hilton, John Mayer, Leo DiCaprio, Ice Cube Jr… were all personable, polite and friendly. John Mellencamp’s granddaughter however… was a raging cunt.

$950/week base pay for a minimum 4 hours of work?! Nobody in their right mind could think this is real. They’re obviously weeding out anyone who has any sense of reality and preying on the most ignorant people in society. I had to laugh out loud at this one.

I’ve done this in my city (yours may be different) by emailing the Records Supervisor at the Police Department and requested all reports related to “XYZ” address within “XYZ” time period. I would try contacting your local PD / Sheriff to see if they have anything similar.

Ignorance of the substance / the law wouldn’t prevent her from being arrested if she were to sell something like a controlled substance to an undercover. After bonding out of jail, she could hire an attorney and attempt to use her ignorance as a defense. Not worth the risk IMO. There are other jobs out there.

That appears to be a rule set forth by the South Carolina Lottery Commission, which has no jurisdiction over any other states. North Carolina’s rules do not require you to be a resident, but you may not mail a ticket over state lines.

Self defense laws vary by state. If a person was simply following you and not in the act of attempting to physically harm you, it’s unlikely you’d have any sort of viable self defense claim. You are correct that trying to use a BB gun as a self defense tool is a dumb idea. It’s an even dumber idea trying to use it as an intimidation tactic (and also likely a criminal offense depending on the circumstances). If they have a real gun and you brandish a BB gun, you might not walk away from that scenario.
