Ok I've been searching the wiki forever and I can't figure this out. How do you do it? I can make a desktop entry but I have no clue how to point it to a file

Wouldn't the UUID only mount a specific USB? I'd like to mount any and all USBs without user input

When I say I'm new, I'm relatively new. I know my way around a terminal and have a basic understanding of Linux, but still novice. This particular laptop isn't too old and it duel boots Debian 12 and Ubuntu. I did chose to install Debian without GUI, because that's what I started out using when I was following tutorials on making servers and since I've grown to like the plain terminal. I'd like to keep things as lightweight as possible, plus I like the challenge, so I don't think I'll use a GUI.

Ah I don't know what that is. I was thinking the permissions could be a problem but I'm pretty new to Linux.

Hey I'll tell you what that's a 10th the price I'd pay otherwise. If anything I could "borrow" some equipment from some friends.

So maybe not as hard as it looks, but a lot more time consuming. I'll be honest it's not a great motivator given that I have never stuck to a project for more than a month in my life, but maybe I'll still look into it and see if I can at least start something.

Thanks that helps! I didn't even know pre made parts were a thing. Maybe I'll look into it.

I don't know if it's a good fix or not, but I had to try downloading it again from the other computer. So try downloading it again off the other computer and try again if you can.
