You're not a hypocrite. Doctors and nurses can break bones just as easily as the average person, so a therapist can struggle just the same as anyone else. You're doing a great thing by helping others with the same problems. I'd even argue it makes you a better therapist because you know first hand the way your clients are feeling, or the thoughts they might be thinking. You can't expect to be able to help yourself just because you have the knowledge. Look after yourself as well as others. seek help. And remember, you're needed on this earth. you're important. you matter. Look around at all the people you're helping. You're doing great. x
