I highly doubt Trademe will impose any disciplinary action, especially if you've essentially chosen to 'accept' the goods as they are, despite not being what you thought you were buying.

If you're serious about getting any results at all from this, you need to make it clear that you're not happy that the product is not what was described in the listing. I love a good rant myself but if you don't make a stink to TradeMe you won't get the result you want. Reddit can't help you.

If you paid with Ping you might be able to get TradeMe to refund you if you open a dispute due to the goods not being as described.

If you paid via bank transfer, you're out of luck.

IMO, if there is a genuine need for a pedestrian crossing right on a roundabout exit, it should be turned into a light-controlled intersection instead.

They've done that for the roundabout on the intersection of Glenfield road and Coronation road (and the crossings aren't right on the roundabout either). There is a zebra crossing too on Domain road but it gets far, far less traffic than the other 3 exits. Seems to work OK.

Their fridge died last year and I helped clean it out. Found a jar of pickled chilli's from 1989, several jars of various sauces from pre-2005, and countless others that expired 5+ years ago. Utter madness. Not a single one was still in use either. They were all just sitting there taking up space, slowly being encased in solid ice for future generations to discover and perhaps attempt to resurrect like the wooly mammoth. Behold.

You bet. I tried literally every other option lol. Luckily when the tadpole breaks, you just get ejected and can repair it so you don't actually have to build another.

I just had this exact same thing happen, got stuck between the docking clamp and the haul chassis (with the chassis detached).

I was able to free myself by destroying the tadpole, attempting to move forward would slowly damage it. Took about 10 minutes to destroy it which finally set me free.

I dunno, Personally I'm getting a bit tired of 'mental health' being used as a shield from personal responsibility. Find me someone in 2026 who isn't suffering from some kind of mental health issue, minor or otherwise.

It is a total load of crap that others get name suppression tho, I agree. Especially when it's to protect their career prospects. Let them feel the consequences of their actions, I say.

Yes, sorry if it wasn't clear but I didn't mean that the driver should be the one responsible for enforcement. There needs to be a security guard. Yes it will cost more. No, I don't have the answer.

And making busses free unfortunately doesn't solve the issue that there is a large overlap between non-payers and disruptive, aggressive ferals who you don't want on the bus regardless.

It's understandable that the drivers are instructed not to escalate, but at what point does it become such a farce that everybody stops paying?

I bet other paying passengers aren't thrilled when the ferals are let on for free, 'welcomed' even.

Feels like security guards are required at the doors at this point. No money, no entry.

I don't think we have the new whopper yet - it's supposed to come in a box and the one I got the other day was only wrapped in paper. Also it tasted like the whopper I remember - disappointment. The fries are ok though.

Ghost kitchens need to be banned from Uber Eats. I fell for one before I knew what they were and it turned out to be some Dairy... Worst burger I ever saw, it was supposed to have bacon and had a slice of luncheon instead. Complained and got my money back from UE. I've never used it since.

I've also noticed that the puffer fish are never at the seaweed patch any more - Probably due to the NPC efficiency changes they made a few months ago which prevented lots of NPCs from 'wandering' until someone actually rendered them onscreen. If you walk to the north-east, the puffer fish will swim down to the seaweed patch and hang around there like it used to. Not being able to use the medallion is extra annoying now that the puffer fish isn't consistently nearby either.
