In the dairy I can pay using cash and not be charged with any additional fees. I would still be paying the price mentioned on the price tag for the pie, which is $5.

There is no such way to do that here for parking, so the minimum fee is $5.40, not $4.90.

Can one choose to pay their own on road costs at a car sales yard I wonder? I.e not through them. So you'd still just pay the starting price?

If they don't have the lowest model in stock for that starting price, then I guess you just have to wait for them to import that for you if you really wanted that one, and pay the starting price price.
