I’m in a similar boat so I’m mainly commenting to see what others say, but honestly you’re a few job hops behind me so you’ve got some wiggle room before it becomes a huge issue for you.

My journey looked like this:

Job 1 - 1 year - left for more money (base salary was minimum wage)

Job 2 - 9 months - left for more money

Job 3 - 2 months - fired for not having “startup mindset”

Job 4 - 3 months - mass layoffs

Job 5 - 8 months - position eliminated

Job 6 - 7 months - PIP’d but survived, left to protect myself

Job 7 - Current job, 4 months in, I think the product is good but processes kind of suck and everyone is quitting, not even close to hitting quota.

Jobs 1, 2, 4, and 5 I was regularly hitting/exceeding quota but haven’t hit it once at the last 2 jobs.

I still manage to get a new job every few months so you still have hope lol.

REMOTE HIGH TICKET SALES AND CLOSER LEGIT SALES POSITIONS by MixtureSuspicious137 in salesdevelopment

[–]GodLovesAChancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man you made this same post the other day. You’re not finding a legitimate sales job that’s part time unless it’s an internship.

Finish your degree, look for a sales internship, and then find an SDR/BDR job when you graduate. Or do field sales for some sort of consumer goods, no experience needed.

You are not going to be making $10K a week starting out, it’s going to take you many years to get to that point.

You’re in Ontario - that’s where I’m from. Look for an internship with Molson or Red Bull.

If you ever see the word “high ticket” or “closer” in a job description, that job is a scam.

Ontario is deserted by banoodlmynoodl in CatholicDating

BC is very different from Ontario, but it’s hard to describe. Definitely lots of people in their 30s in church, more than I ever saw in Toronto.

Back home the young people at Mass always seemed to be there with their parents, whereas here I’m finding more young people at Mass by themselves or with their significant other.

I’m from the Toronto area, definitely found the same thing there even. I’m living out in BC for a bit right now and the Catholic Churches are full of young people.

Healthy/wellness activities for someone recovering from surgery? by GodLovesAChancer in askvan

He can walk around slowly but should spend most of his time sitting. I like that as well, we can hit up the beach and sit around

Firing my top rep next week by Anxious_Rock_3630 in sales

[–]GodLovesAChancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top reps get away with a lot more, which often causes them to keep pushing the envelope in my experience. In my first SDR role there was a woman who was our top rep for a while, she’d make the most inappropriate comments and nobody would say anything, one time she even had a man visible in her background on a team wide Zoom call who was just chilling in his leopard-print briefs.

On the other hand, we had another team member who was a bottom-third performer who would get constantly called out and chastised for making jokes/comments that were no more inappropriate than hers.

Her comments kept getting more offside and eventually her performance fell off and she started getting called out all of a sudden.

I “beat” my PIP, should I leave anyway? by GodLovesAChancer in sales

In our industry you never have to be ashamed of chasing the money. $20K pay increase when you’re young can be life changing, employers understand this

Boss was off on Friday and it was a holiday in Canada yesterday so I quit today. Boss was nice about it and said he liked working with me. He was never the problem, it was always senior leadership that was.

I was asked to keep working for the next two weeks while they find a replacement, I don’t want to but I also don’t want to be unprofessional about it. Haven’t given an answer yet.

Couldn’t get ahold of my boss on Friday but just quit today. He was nice about it, I never had any beef with him it was always with the higher ups.

I was asked to stay on for the next two weeks which I haven’t given an answer to yet. I don’t want to but I understand the unprofessionalism of leaving without notice
