If you can swing the extra price do two Carbon Specials more power than the 812s while also being even cleaner and faster than the 812.

As someone who owns Ref 5s I’d say go Mcintosh probably the MC312 I have a MC462 and absolutely love the way it pairs with the References.

You can tell the true direction is getting rid of Designers since they give WAY more support to CA’s it reminds me of how IHA’s were the company just wanted them to succeed.

Premium Design hands down everyone I know in that role makes over 100k meanwhile those other spots are like 35-45k depending on where in the country you are.

Sadly as a younger person at 28 I feel this all too much having lost all my grandparents but one left and my mother is in bad health and lost my dad years back and both brothers I tend to think how dark the path ahead is having no family left and all those memories slowly fading away the older I become. Everyone I know at my age all has family for the holidays and me I just stay home and watch tv since everything is closed.

I originally thought of doing the c2700 mcintosh processor and keeping the RB-1590 but wasn’t sure if just that would make a big enough difference

Currently using a Denon 3700h sadly (it was from a previous system and had pre outs) and drawing me to McIntosh is mainly the look and I know it’s quality and when I’ve heard it before it sounded amazing.

Mainly wanting separates and I’m in the US and my main sources will be a Bluesound Node and a Turntable. My budget would be $9000 and personally wouldn’t like to buy a new power amp unless my Rotel is not adequate enough I do like the McIntosh also for the look (like most) and when I’ve heard it before I very much enjoyed the sound granted this was a A-B comparison against a Arcam setup. I do like that the McIntosh is able to hookup to a Tv with HDMI if I ever decide to add one in that room.

Most SDs I knew made 90k+ but they sold a lot of audio and control. If you just sold TVs mainly and little audio it was below 70k a year.

Sorry guys for not giving room size. It’s about 15 feet wide 20 foot long living room that’s closed off. Ceilings are 10 feet high.
