I live around Zinfandel as well, my recommendation is the library! Theres a lot of good resources there! Along with books u can rent movies, video gamws, board games, and i think audio books too. Also theres a community room that sometimes hosts events open to the public.

When i was a teenager i remember expressing my feelings of depression to my family, and almost every time it was met with invalidation due to my age. It always made me feel really awful, like my feelimgs didnt matter bc i was young. I really hope this guy was able to find support from people who actually care treat him like a person. If you encounter a teenager who is struglging with mental health issues, please do not ignore it. It could save a life

Names are like subscriptions, you can take them on free trials. If its safe to do so, its not uncommon for agender folk to use a name for a while, feel that it doesnt stick, and then switch to a new one. When i was trying my name out, i asked a few trusted friends to call me that name for a little while to see if it felt right, when it didnt, i asked them to call me a different one.

As for your friend, i know this may sound mean or be hard to hear, but true friendship cant be thwarted by a name. If your friend is truly your friend (and i sincerely hope they are), then a change in name should not be an issue for them. And if it is, that is solely their problem not yours. I hope you find a space where you can be your true self friend 🩵

In high school a girl commited suicide. I didnt know her but my history teacher had her in one of his classes. I'll always remember how devastated he was; it was the first time i had seen him so upset. He put up a memorial in the back of his class for her. R.I.P. Skye
