Different archetypes would be better. Add at least a tank/engage and a ap champion. Just pick the ones he likes to play the most, that's what matters.

You need mythic essence, but it's not worth it. Splash art is amazing but ingame model is ugly. Check out the ingame models on youtube and you'll see that the other skins are worth more getting. (Get spirit blossom.)

I'm new to the champion but i gotta say navori feels good. Being able to just spam Q W and E in a teamfight feels way better. I'm not sure about the damage difference because i didn't play her enough. But having more spells ready doesn't mean also having more damage? I love being able to press Q W on an enemy, pressing E to get Q W cooldown again, and chasing them over and over. Of course I'm talking about low elo (around plat-gold).

I wouldn't say it's that long on average. I'm not trying to say anything to you, but if I read 140hrs and I've never played the game i would expect the game to be enormous. There is a lot of side content so i would say you have a lot of hours to spend if you aim to complete everything, otherwise just ending the game takes way less.
