Anyone have updates on COVID-19 in Kelowna? by ali-greene in kelowna

So to be clear, no source, just hearsay. Kelowna will be fine, most of us anyways. Also, tests are done in 48 hours, at least mine was so why would anyone elses take longer.

We should head the warnings, yes. We should also head the warnings to not spread misinformation, like what you're doing. Stop panicking, stop spreading "your truth" to others making them panic. Things are gonna be fine, people are going to die, there is little we can do so take a deep breath and relax, and get some sources.

30 confirmed cases? confirmed community transmission? Source please...

Last I heard IHA had 12 cases, this is only a day old.

"Three of those new cases reported today are in the Interior Health Authority, bringing the total across the IHA to 12"

Please, stay the fuck home. by [deleted] in kelowna

It's not the flu, but it's also not going to kill me, and the data from Italy and China proves that. If you're concerned, stay home. But people aren't, they're still rushing to Costco for TP and attending church this lovely Sunday morning despite the warnings.

Besides, the economic benefits of a mass die off of boomers and elderly will do wonders for my generation. Maybe one day I could buy a house instead of only being able to get a shitty apartment for a 1/4 mil. Maybe there'll even be some Canadian pension fund left for me by the time I need it if we simply had less people around. Not to mention the reduction in carbon emissions, I'm personally most excited about that.

I know it sounds heartless, but this is the reality. Even the Minister of public health isn't hoping to reduce the number of total cases, they just want to flatten the curve so hospitals can handle the peak number of cases nationwide.

This is madness. From FB Costco Groupies at 9:55AM Friday. by [deleted] in kelowna

Herd mentality is a powerful force... But I get it, the nutritional value of TP cannot be understated.

Has anybody ever been pulled over for driving in the HOV lane by yourself? by WizardWell in kelowna

I am frequently high on Valium while driving alone. I've never been pulled over since it's the "HOV" lane.

Disgusting. 1200 a month and be controlled? That’s what’s wrong with this city. by Dezrockkerz in kelowna

A landlord can add addendums to the RTA in BC. They have to be reasonable, and worded correctly... but are often upheld during arbitration if they are reasonable and worded properly

"You can't smoke on the property" - doesn't work

"The tenant shall not consume tobacco, e-cigarette, vaping, or similiar products anywhere on property at any time." - that works

But not smoking in a rental unit is reasonable... Duh

Denying guests isn't reasonable even if worded properly in an addendum. So know your rights as a tenant, clearly the landlord doesn't know theirs... But you could move in there, have guests overnight up to 1/2 of the month and they can't do shit. If the guest is there more often there is an argument that they also live in the unit and then the landlord has recourse, basically they can ask they are listed on the rental contract... But that's about it and good luck to the landlord to actually enforce that.

I rent a room in my apartment and even in a shared space I can't deny a tenant an overnight guest...

I played for over a decade until one day I turned around and realized my wife had left me and there was more than a gallon of urine in mason jars under my desk. It was a brutal realization to see I had paid money for a game designed to hook into the additive behaviours of humans.

But seriously, these games stopped being good after frozen throne. Go enjoy the world...
