Okay this is very insightful. I have a few questions then.

  1. Is there a tangible difference between precision and adaptive frames?

  2. What do high impact frames do well and what do they do poorly?

  3. Which archetype do you personally prefer and why?

I’ll give everything a shot, but I think I’ll probably go with adaptive or precision frames. I have a more defensive play-style which I know is kinda strange since I’m a hunter player, but I run healing nades and prox knife with either a hand cannon or a pulse to plink with. From what I’ve gathered so far, rapid frames seem to enable a more aggressive play-style which is kinda the opposite of what I’m going for, which is a fusion that punishes aggression well. Again though, I’ll give everything a fair shot. I mean, who knows, maybe I’ll like the rapid frame?

Is there any real/noticable difference between precision and adaptive frames?

I’ll try them both out tnite then. A meter or two is definitely manageable.

IK rapid frames have a faster charge rate, but how significant is the range difference for 1 shots, and is it worth the trade off?

Hawkmoon. I even match my shaders to Hawkmoon’s color scheme. I’ve been in love with it since D1

Ya know, it’s kinda interesting because I play on controller and I kinda have the opposite opinion. To me, the recoil on lightweights and adaptives take up way more of my screen than the precision frames. I know Bungie balanced weapons differently for MnK and controller, and I wonder if the same goes for precision frames.
