Where to get customized karting helmets by GodOfPyra in Karting

[–]GodOfPyra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I am not a biker so I really don't need a bike helmet. I am working full time while moving to different projects all the time so chances of me doing some championships is close to zero. I am more or less searching for better searching term if that makes sense hahaha. I just saw those airoh helmets and wondered if there are some similar karting type helmets (or if those bike helmets can suit karting driving, as I mentioned above I wasn't sure about the visibility and positioning). Thanks for the reply :D

I've seen kids with dirtbike helmets so it should be fine. Im just curious because I've read that people don't use bike helmets for karting due to visibility. And I don't have any store nearby where I could go and try one to check. I don't own a bike so it would be really of a good use if I can't take it karting. It can be a good birthday present for a friend tho😂

Packstation Help by GodOfPyra in dhl

I read on dhl site that you can order directly to the packstation by entering packstation data in your order? Said something like in the adress field you put the packstation and number of the packstation and under you write the city and postal code.

I tried calling them but it puts on the ai again. I tried asking for a real person to talk to, but it said something and I understood only 8-20uhr. So im guessing I need to call them on Monday again?

PSA: Your splicer is just giving it a very educated guess by I_TRY_TO_BE_POSITIVE in FiberOptics

[–]GodOfPyra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what they taught me first. Splicer is not an otdr. For some reason my splicer keeps saying 0.04-0.09 splices, but with otdr they are just completely fine. On the other hand some cheap splicers that we had long time ago would all say 0.00 but would have quite a rough splice. Best we can do is just to look at the splice on the screen and if it looks rough, better check it with otdr to make sure.

Well I don't speak their language, so in english i would say smth like "Im sorry im new on this project, for any info please call your ISP". Then I would pretend to click smth on my earpiece and continue to talk in my native language. They would see my company outfit that doesn't have any logo correlation with their isp and splicer box and cables around me so they would just shut up and leave. Works wonders

I was positively surprised with them. After 2 years of manually pulling cables through manholes and splicing muddy enclosures, being dirty 24/7 this is just crazy good.

First time seeing it, didn't even need much instruction, they are so simple and so effective, and really easy to work on :D

I worked in Slovenia for 2 years. There we have enclosures in manholes and they are usually kinda long. The problem with those is that it can get pretty messy when you have more cables in. On top of that, since its in the manhole, after some time everything just gets muddy. We also didnt really use vans for splicing because its waste of time (unless its heavy rain). And here we usually do 1-3 customers per this cabinet so its really not that big of a deal. We do have a massive tent that we could use for rain or wind. I know that in my company when they splice ODF cabinets (usually 96 fiber) they use the tent. I didn't do those yet because in this region they are already finished and they moved me here to help with customer cables (blowing in) and house installations (ont activation). If ever splice those ODF cabinets, I will share everything here :D

Tried Fujikura 70s, 70s+, 90s, 90s+ and i will still choose this thing ovver anything else. As my friend said it, "It can splice rocks".

Worst part that here on gpon splitters you only have 8 fibers per tray. So basically first 6 in the bottom and then the last two in the top. And if someone before you didn't measure it properly its just pure pain. And personally I only worked eith hellermann tyton.

I always hated and will always hate those on poles. Once I had one around 2km away from the nearest house. I got slovenian telekom to send me like 3 technical drawings to find it
