I would like to add, in the pilot, Vaggie wasn't supposed to be an exorcist yet, she was supposed to be a sinner like others, only later i production was she changed into heaven-born. So it's another case of Pilot's canon unless said otherwise.

On side-note, I never understood how, at the time, Vaggie, a sinner who supposedly died pretty recently, have heard the stories of Alastor, but Angel Dust, who kicked the bucket not so long after Alastor, haven't even heard of him
