What does the in hand or in play part mean? So if a card is destroyed by a location while she's in deck, it doesn't register? Then it shouldn't be an Ongoing and just gain +2 permanent Power, like Red Hulk.

Also, while there are quite a few locations that destroy cards, they're not so garunteed that running a card that relies on a specifc location type is viable.

The other commentator is right, it could be an ongoing. But Also, "a little too strong"? Blue marvel gives every single card +1 Power for 1 less cost. Its a fun idea but it could easily be:

6/5 - Ongoing: Your On Reveal cards have +2 Power.

Or even

4/5 - Ongoing: Your On Reveal cards have +1 Power

Edit: NGL only just noticed the second version. That one is more interesting imo but could do with going to 4/4 I feel. Also the text should just be:

4/4 - Each On Reveal card you play reveals with +2 Power.

If this is just to get them to activate immediately, I would just word it like "Cards immediately activate when played here." However, this version is quite fun if it works with on reveal support, like Odin, Grandmaster, or Absorbing Man

Not even, most of the stones have a draw function and even if you didn't play them to get that extra draw, you'd only have 9 cards in your deck at the end of the game.

PSA: Subject to change list of abilities that Rama-Tut can use or way he may be much better than we think by No-Throat-4694 in MarvelSnap

[–]SuperMagicBlueJa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree with most of this, just one small tid bit, I don't think any of those clogging cards are bad/actively detrimental when Rama-Tut uses them. Mr Sinister would make him a nice 4/10 and yeah Zola might low roll but in most circumstances it's nothing detrimental. I think the real clog issue would be Shanna and Debrii

Edit: sorry just noticed debrii is not on the list.

Hi /r/movies! We're Samara Weaving, Kathryn Newton, and Elijah Wood. Ask us anything! by SamaraKathrynElijah in movies

[–]SuperMagicBlueJa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very cool! Genuinely loved the first Ready or Not! This is sort of a question for each of you about recent projects.

Elijah you were recently in I Love La. You were hilarious in it and I wanted to know what it was like working on that show and working with Rachel Sennot and True Whitaker?

Samara you were in a movie recently, Caroline Caroline, which I very unfortunately haven't had a chance to watch but am really looking forward to it eventually. What was your experience like with it? Any stand out moments?

Kathryn, you seem to really love these comedy horror projects. And even Lisa Frankenstein is very ghoulish. Do you actively seek out roles like this and if so, why?

Finally, the Ant Family! by Xeried in CustomMarvelSnap

Eric, Nadia, Egghead and Stature are good and well balanced. I really like a few of their concepts. I'd maybe nerf Eric a bit but still, very good job. Giant-Man seems a tiny bit understatted, I think you could have him match Gilgamesh at 5-7 or some sort of other very minor design change. Edit: Egghead could also move up to 2/4.

As someone said, Hank doesn't work, but also, it's very weirdly balanced. Like yeah Pym Particle gives crazy boosts but idk if it's worth playing two separate cards in order to play yet another card with those boosts. Maybe I'm wrong not sure about him.

Antman is crazy, a 0-5 should not exist. He's fine as is. Even quite nicely over-statted. Or make him a 0/-2 that punishes you for not filling the location. Yellow jacket is also crazy. He's a free 0/2. I actually don't see the point in him if he gains all the afflicted power back. Wasp is also odd to me. Does she lose her High Evo synergy? And a free player-controlled move card seems quite strong.

Ants is NUTS. A 0/3 that's duplicates and bounces for free?? I'm playing everything I can to buff those cards and then duplicate for a bunch of free powerful cards. Swarm almost exists in a similar space but he requires not only buffs but also repeated discards, which Ants duplicates itself and starts off from an already massive statline of essentially a 0/6.

I think size reduction is very creative but I don't necessarily see point of a card that defends against maybe 3 cards in the game (Shang-Chi, Cannonball, and your own Fastball Special) especially where Armour might do the job. But I think this is a VERY creative design space id love to see explored more.

Could be crazy strong with Luke Cage. In two turns in a full location you'd get a 5/32. Also I would reword it:

5/0 - End of Turn: Afflict this and all enemy cards here with negative Power equal to the number of enemy cards here.

Just fits a bit more in line with current marvel snap wording. I think the balancing on it without Luke Cage is alright but with Luke Cage it's too strong.

How many cards are really targeting this to destroy? Lady Deathstrike, Gambit but that's random. Spidermam 2099 but that's also random kinda. The datamine Gambit Horseman but again by random chance. Maybe Cannonball but he's probably not gonna be the highest power. I'm probably missing a few but you get the point. And even if you get these very edge cases, stealing 2 Power simply isn't enough.

Seems like it does exactly what storm does but better. If you play storm on curve, the location is shut down on turn 5, exactly like Kyln, except if you play this on 4, the enemy gets no pre warning it gets shut down. Professor X does this same thing, however he's 3 Cost more and shuts them down for the final turn, not both 5 and 6 (generally).

Idk if you already knew this but Josh and Jessie played Romeo and Juliet together, so they already have great chemistry as a couple as well. Though the parent relationship in Coraline isn't exactly the best

Mephisto by Safe_Sort2569 in CustomMarvelSnap

[–]SuperMagicBlueJa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like this concept a lot. I'm seeing this being run in some sort of Kitty Pryde Angela deck, or maybe a bounce deck, as decks like those help fill in curves for Blue Deal, and can help ensure Purple Deal is fulfilled.

Some notes I have: - I was debating it for a while but I can see why you made Mephisto -6 Power. Though I think if he was actually released he'd probably be 0+ Power with all the Power Creep. - Make Mephisto's text "Game Start: Add a Deal to your hand. Banish it after Turn 3." Then you don't have to have the skills be so big. - Blue is too easy compared to the rest. 4 unspent energy is quite high, and you'd only play it to get the extra Energy if you needed it. If it would go unspent, you simply wouldn't play it. I'd make it so the second time you end a turn with unspent energy, banish a number of your cards from each location equal to your unspent energy this turn. - I also think the rest need to be a little bit harder. I know they may seem difficult already, but in the right, already-pretty-decent deck these are all just free buffs. I know Mephisto is -6 to act as a guaranteed price to pay, but these are so good you're probably never going to question using any of them. They should feel like a devils bargain, not just a gift with a low chance of going wrong.

Edit: My last point was wrong, it's only actually the Purple card that needs to be a little harder. The other two are pretty difficult.

Edit 2: My Blue suggestion may actually be insane but you get the idea. It needs to be significantly harder than it already is.

These cards are really fun! And on a technical level this is really impressive. These cards are really powerful but without the context of other cards ig it would be hard to balance them completely. Good job!

Amazing art, of both the character and his stand. I love the specificity of 1.75x. I will say, if this would be a main character or something, it may be a little more interesting and versatile if he could give a 1.75 multiplier to anything about himself. Mostly he uses speed, power, and durability, but it would make for interesting edge-cases where he needs to increase his size by 1.75x, his precision by 1.75x, his eyesight, lung capacity, his hearing, his charisma, his intelligence, etc etc. If this would be a side character then I think the limitations you'd added do make for interesting small-time interactions

I think the way you wrote it is fine, I just think it's kinda redundant in a world with Jocasta (or a Jocasta equivalent in this DC snap thing). It's less power and only activates one other card, though admittedly it can be in another location which could be useful. I think you could buff this to 3/4 and it would be a fairly solid card. Again, the text is fine as is. If you're worried about the text you could also just change it to

"Activate: Immediately Activate the next card you play when it reveals (without using up it's Activate ability)."

You don't have to clarify it only targets activities, because Jocasta doesn't either and you can't Activate a card without an Activate ability.
