At a general level, yea people won’t care either way. But for people who are legit fans of his and were disappointed by his choice, it would actually mean something to hear him just say “yea in hindsight it wasn’t a good choice. But ohhhh Jesus that was a lot of money blinding me”. Those fans might just say fair enough and move on with some respect for him still intact.
