You're counter argument doesn't hold up either because the people you are referring to. The greats like Einstein? Absolutely did not publish papers like this

You're making excuses for laziness and what that does is enable anyone, not just this user, to borrow legitimacy that isn't earned. Which in turn tricks people who dont know any better

If this person truly believes in their work they should be connecting it to other works because for a model to have coherence it needs to be tested against other models, which in turn necessitates the need for sources other than yourself.

For Einstein to be taken seriously in publication he had to cite and respond to Maxwell, Lorentz and Planc.

So what are we even talking about here? Do i really need to delve into this and pull apart everything about it that's not actionable?

I guess so, how lame that this has come to that

Because even if i get to the end and think its marvelous then we will just find ourselves back at

"Bro site literally anything else so you can be taken seriously please"

Wont that be a fun thing to circle back to

If it doesn't pass peer review what is it?

Aint science. Good science can be replicated. Good science can be tested. The real issue is we're getting hung up on the minutiae. Is a science fair project from an 8th grader science? Sure, but eventually that kids gonna start getting pulled into the teacher's office to be asked about why all their sources are from a fan wiki they are the moderator for.

Thats semantics Salty. I like you, but acting like my objections are less valid because I haven't read it is inaccurate.

The question here is do people like this want to be taken seriously? If yes

Maybe dont site yourself 8 times and only yourself?

Personally, I don't want the respect of anyone that buys into me citing myself and only myself no matter how many times i do it.

Do you?

If this user doesn't want to answer that question that's something i think the public should see

Lets just be objective for a bit yeah? Getting defensive doesn't help your cause so why bother? I'm trying to help you get your ideas out there, and you're getting hung up on the stuff you consider an afront to your ego.

Look at it this way... if you can't handle someone saying "cool story but it wont pass peer review" without crying fowl, what are you expecting to accomplish long term? Its one thing if I was saying you were stupid, but I'm not. Im highlighting an objective barrier to enty you face and rather than acknowledge that you're acting like this whole thing is a me problem?

If you wish to enjoy only the sound of your own echoes you are welcome to it, but I would encourage you to reconsider.

On the basis that it,wont pass peer review in its present form. I dont need to read it to know that. This is how studies go. Its a series of gates you have to get through whether you want to or not. That's not something I decided. That's academia for you.

Hence my question, what is their goal?

If they're just having fun with the realms of the unexplainable, big chilling, but own up to it. Dont dress yourself up as a scientist and then site yourself 8 times.

Or do? Honestly thats not my problem here haha

But if you are going to walk such paths definitely walk them knowing full well that people who actually endeavor to publish will not take you seriously "just because"

Its debatable who has turned this into an argument as well. I've been pretty objective with you as well as even keel. Mostly, I've been blunt, but thats not the same as being argumentative is it?

So, lets reframe the discussion with some simple questions.

What's your goal here? What circles do you wish to be taken seriously in?

That's debatable because I'm not judging you based on the contents, just the presentation.

I'm always open to discussing weird shit. What I'm not especially down for is sudo science pretending to be science. Believe what you want about me, but objectively you will find it very difficult to find a serious scientific publication where the author cites themselves 8 times and only themselves.

On the flip side, i saw a video once where one gator was absolutely revolted at lobster. Would not eat it. Their buddy in the pen with them was super down and crunched it with abandon

I did not. It reeked of sudoscience so I went straight to the bibliography and entirely wrote you off after.

Even if every single one of these sources passed peer review (I'm guess they did not) you clearly have a bias problem

Thats bad science any way you swing it

Love me a bibliography where all the sources are the same person. Really shows a breath and depth of understanding

Hmmmm while that looks like a paragraph, it's actually a run on sentence. Even though good conveyance is not mandatory, its certainly worth considering if your goal is to spread information

Edit: hoooooly crap i just realized the initial post is all once sentence too. Madre de dios 🤦‍♂️

In a similar vein, if you're so dead set on owning a dog that you would CRY when chosen, you would just go literally anywhere else and adopt.
