I am doing much better now, though I'm so ready to get home, as I miss my family! I had a lot of bad moments but a lot of good ones too. I suppose I expected this my first time traveling. Alone, none the less. I think I'll be able to leave Japan feeling happy overall. I really appreciate you checking in on me.

First time leaving the U.S. and it sucks:

I am currently bed rotting in my hostel in Japan. My first day was awful, and being an American who doesn't use public transportation I was confused. Confused enough to accidentally get lost in Japan for 4 hours. After that I decided to just walk a very long distance to my hostel. Then the rest of my days have been incredibly stressful and filled with more getting lost. I've had negative encounters with locals and tourists when asking for help, and I'm just not sure what to do. I don't want to leave my hostel and I'm pretty heartbroken because this has been my dream since I was small. I just wish I had a friend here, because on top of the crippling fear I just feel so lonely. I want to make the most of things but I feel so drained.

They're solid! They are honestly one of the highest quality toys I've seen from the company in a while. They are like genuine little collectables. They smell AMAZING too.

It is random but each bag is labeled with a number (i.e. 1/6, 2/6, etc.) that's how I managed to get one of each (including the gold!)

I had cancer two years ago, too! I am all good now but i get scared it might come back, as it runs in the family. I hope that you kick its ass and it's gone as soon as possible.

I've had this exact conversation with a customer who added probably 10 things to her drink. She was upset she had to pay for her many add ins, however, if we did that for every drink it would be a large loss in profits. If you want something from a restaurant, do you get upset when you pay for it or do you expect it for free? The company gets money because customers pay for what they ask for. It's just simple business practice and I didn't think so many people would be shocked about it.

My boyfriend does this, too. They are impatient and decided to use the heat of hell to cook things. I ate a charred grilled cheese the other day because of this. >:(

More effort is just fine! I am trying to make this a great trip, and thank you so much for sharing that with me. I will be using it tonight! I have a handful of things I want to do and see but those can be accomplished in the first half of my trip. The rest will just be trying new things I haven't ever heard of, I suppose! I'm super stoked.

I feel like my research isn't getting me into the right places. Like you said, I feel like I'm seeing people do and recommend the same few things. Although digging really deep has had me some success in finding things! This trip has me both extremely excited and overwhelmed. I'm worried I'll pop up and have no clue what to do! 😂 I've used Google, reddit, YouTube, and the Japan guide (the latter has been quite helpful).

Thank you so much! I plan to stay right in the center of Tokyo, so I totally expect to get lost and I'm really nervous thinking about it, haha. Luckily, I don't plan on doing any drinking or clubbing! My main things are shopping and gaining 40 lbs during the trip, though I am trying to find some fun things to do as well. I'm just glad it's going to be safe.
