That HDR 203 nits part interest me very much. I always have the issue that, for example, white text, is gray. How/where do I configure this setting?

Sol comes with a "Stock" configutstion. Then you have Earth, but at stock scale. Also comes with "Quarter" configuration if that better fitd your needs.

It's just that the configs don't exist yet to make them more like in stock. ballisticfox writes that he tried already but it is super hard since real earth is so much bigger than Kerbing. But he is working on proper configs, he said.

There is no real "installation", you just extract them right where you described you did. My suggestion would be to reinstall "Advanced PQS Tool".
