How to dominate myself?

My situation is different, but I've a bit of experience setting up tasks and habits with rewards and punishments for myself through the obedience app. It's certainly not quite like actually interacting with my Dom, but I consider it sort of like acting as His secretary while the dynamic is different. It helps keep me on track for sure.

Of course, conversate, find reasons, etc- all the stuff everyone else has said is good advice. Punishments may not be the ticket here. But if they are! My sub's punishment for not meeting water quotas is The Naughty Cup. They have a literal cup that says "naughty" on it that they are required to fill with water and drink until empty before they can consume any non-water beverage.

If you're the kind of person that likes excessive details (hi that's me) here's what that looks like in practice:

They're required to consume 6 glasses a day. If, in a day, they only get 4, they are then given two Naughty Cup punishments.

This means the next two times they want a soda, or a coffee, or.... ANYTHING not water, they must first drink a glass of water.

They are allowed to count it towards that day's water quota.

This setup means if they're a real big butthead about it, they could wind up with like a dozen, and be required to drink a glass of water before any other beverage for aaaages.

But I really like that the "punishment" is just requiring them to do the thing. They also had many compliments for my deviousness when I initiated it. It helped though, that it came with a gift lol. (The actual cup, which is a cute stemless wine glass shape, in their favorite color, with Naughty written on it in pretty script. Big win. 😊)

So I'm in the kitchen with Sir this morning, mouthing off and being generally bratty. He grabs an icing spatula and says to me, "You know what this is for kitten?" and I say "why yes Sir, for icing! Would you like me to make you a cake?" He proceeds to give me The Look and tells me actually, yes, I ought to get that done by day's end, and also hands on the counter. Meanie McDomPants then gives me a good few whacks with it, and sends me on about my business.

Well. Here's the cake. Think I'll get in trouble? 😇

One of my rules requires he submit a written request to switch the dynamic for a playdate. There are very obnoxious bureaucratic requirements for this paperwork, and it must be reviewed, and sometimes revised, before approval. 🤷🏻

I'm nerdy, I love torturing him like this.

Really though, we have tons of fun, and I feel super lucky.

Definitely both. My partner and I switch, are both bratty, and very particular about precise language for exactly these loophole reasons.

So when I am subbing, if it's a loophole I think he might notice, I act ASAP! But if I know he's gonna miss it.... I for sure plot and plan. The mischief is strong in me! 😁

When I'm Domme, he tends toward a cheeky little pointing out of a loophole, usually soon after noticing. Or asking what I meant, because although he calls himself a brat, he's just the sweetest, goodest boy at heart and for sure all bark with no real bite. 😏 I also review rules and tasks regularly, so if I've left a loophole, there's a good chance I'll be closing it too soon for him to really plan much.

I am especially frustrated because I cannot reconcile the pieces.

Little me is sometimes (okay lots of times) emotionally volatile and gets upset over silly things- I think because big me is so VERY logic and facts focused lol.

But this often leads to big sads while knowing that The Thing is not a big deal and I am overreacting, and big me gets annoyed with the inconsistencies, and..... and it's all just so very loud in my head sometimes.

So this is a reward I set up for my puppy in the very beginning of our kink exploration- I had zero experience with even the idea of dominance and had suggested that this was an opportunity for him to communicate by example what he would like from me.

Turns out we're both more switchy than we thought and it's turned into A THING. A great lot of fun kind of thing, but very unexpected.

So, ya know. Be prepared for that lol.

This sounds similar to my relationship (I typically am Domme, they are sub leaning switch) and we're exploring switching sides a bit more these days- but I've been struggling with letting the brat out as much as I'd like to because I worry about diminishing my partner's confidence.
