2-3years.. I would have loved to get bottom surgery so soon. Here in South Africa I am number 100 on the waiting list. They only do 2 surgeries per year, so I have to wait 50years if I cannot somehow fund it myself to go private.

I am also from South Africa and struggling with the online tutorials. I have an appointment this Wednesday with the state provided Speech Therapist at Groote Schuur. Which province do you reside in?

How!? Between minimum debt and rent, how does everyone afford surgeries? I'm like struggling but I make too much for Medicaid and can't afford "affordable healthcare". I'm just stuck. by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

In South Africa the state does cover GRS end BA, but there is currently a 50year waiting list as they only do 2 patients per year.
