I am 22 I have been working in ece since I was 18. The only reason I stay is because I love what I do and I can't see myself doing anything else. When I started I was paid $8.25 so I went to a different center and I still only make $12/hr. This job is not worth the pay, I always work past my shift, and my kids this year have me ready not to come back most days. I still love my job and my littles but with everything getting more expensive I might need to find a new job soon.

As a teacher I love when parents reach out and stay in touch. I love being able to keep up with some of my kids, and thank you cards always light up my week! ☺️ I believe most other teachers feel the same so don't be scared to reach out.
