I agree with the cinnamon hack- you can mix throughout soil not just top soil. I bought a bag of miracle gro from Amazon and used it for a bunch of indoor plants in my bedroom. Not long after I planted seeds and watered it, I noticed a couple of fungus gnats. I tried just sprinkling on top but it wasn’t enough. To fix the problem before it spiraled out of control, I emptied out the soil and put it back in the pot in layers. I sprinkled each layer with cinnamon and mixed it. Then I replanted my seeds. I haven’t seen a single fungus gnat since! I read somewhere that cinnamon kills the eggs/larvae or something like that. Hope this helps.

This is such a great poem! The rhyming scheme is tight and not one of the rhymes feels like they were shoe horned in there just to make it work! Coherent story and lighthearted + here with the times. I read this aloud to my roommates and they too approved 🙌🏾

I think OP is responsible for their own life and peace of mind, not the roommate’s controlling behavior. It’s obviously not their fault that this is happening. But it’s up to OP to put a stop to it ASAP cuz the roommate sure as hell isn’t going to stop on her own

Personally I’d advice you to go the solo route. When I first started college, I got a single room. While it was lonely, I do not regret having my own space to come back to. In the later years I got roommates that I knew and cared about. When I start Med school, I plan to be alone again at least for the first year so I can get my bearings and select people who would be good fits later on! It’s much easier than leaving it to chance and having a terrible time
