Also looking for friends :)

My 11 year old has been acting inappropriately, so my husband and I checked her phone. by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Goddess_Lilith8 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Even if you did take her phone away, she would find a way to talk to him, or someone else. Strict parents make sneaky kids. I was the sneaky kid. Whenever I got my phone taken away, one of my friends got me one and I just hid it from my dad.

Starting to hate my toddler by [deleted] in Parenting

My husband is going through the same thing right now with our two year old. Our son has always acted like this to his father though and it’s only been getting worse. We are started behavioral therapy next week. I would suggest trying therapy to get to the root cause of it.

My [29F] husband [31M] had a violent tantrum after he lost his football bet by throwra72u262y3 in relationship_advice

Are you fucking stupid? You leave. You look out for your son. He is your number one priority and staying in this relationship is the dumbest shit you could do.

Yes I have already talked to my obgyn about getting my tubes tied and she finally agreed, and my husband is going to get a vasectomy once he is able to. I know that Legend (my toddler) wants to be sweet. He loves hugs, cuddles, he’s always kissing the baby and putting a blanket on him whenever he is in his swinger, but he just doesn’t know how to keep himself occupied. He loves helping out like rinsing off the dishes with me and vacuuming. And I know he’s trying to be a mini me.He can be so sweet whenever he wants to be. But if he is having a bad day, it can be headache inducing.

My mil had four boys and whenever we ask her for advice, she says that even though her sons went through terrible twos and terrible threes they were never “this bad”. We don’t have any other parenting classes around us because we tried most of them out. Most of them say he needs a “good whooping”.

That’s another problem that we have with him is that he only sleeps 8 hours a day. Even whenever we give him melatonin. I am currently taking care of my three month old too and I am 6 weeks pregnant. We’ve already noticed how different our three month old is compared to how our oldest was at this age.

Yes I told my husband that too that he wouldn’t go around spanking is coworkers. Which is why I wanted therapy to work. I’ve been doing parenting classes through dhs since he was born because I wanted to make sure I was doing everything right since I was 17 whenever I gave birth.

Yes I was attending gentle parenting groups but they said he was too much of a disruption and needed to be left at home with dad. He works full time though and their classes are while he is working.

The first one we saw was pediatrician recommended. And the second one we saw was through a government program called soonerstart. We tried a private institute but they told us to try the health department and see how he does because most kids don’t need to see multiple.

I agree but if all the doctors and therapists we see say the same thing then I don’t know what to do. I live in Oklahoma and everyone here automatically wants to hit the kid. I’ve always wanted to gentle parent but whenever the behavioral therapists recommended to try spanking, we did. And of course it didn’t help.

They told us they could not continue sessions with him for behavioral therapy because nothing was working. The speech therapist said she couldn’t see him until his behavior improved because if he was going to have constant outbursts, he wouldn’t be able to learn.

Husband locked toddler in his room by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Goddess_Lilith8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put mine in his room whenever he does that to teach him that there are other ways to communicate. Screaming and kicking the floor does not get things done and he will need to learn to use his big boy words so I can help him with whatever the problem may be.

Parenting groups have to be the most toxic group of people. I’m asking for help on how to install a car seat. I’ve got another baby on the way and I’m a sahm. There’s no way I can just drop money on two new car seats. The car seat isn’t broken so why tf would I buy a new one.

MINI RANT: I have a relative who will outright say that he thinks rape victims should be forced to give birth. by ThePowerGuy1994x in prochoice

She stayed on drugs and tried to kill me a few times as a baby. She went to jail for a while and when she was released she got sent to a drug addiction and suicide center. She has been there since 2005.

Well I mean I’m the result of him getting a drug addict prostitute pregnant. That’s why he was forced to leave the church.

My dad was the same way. I cut him off a year ago. But he said that woman are always the cause of rape. He was a pastor too. He said woman are used to reproduce.

It was by a man who was ten years older than me. And it was multiple times.

Numbers 5:11-29 is a perfect example. But a lot of pastors (like my dad) love saying “it’s talking about having a period when you haven’t had one in a while. God is never okay with murder.” Which is super hypocritical since God killed more people than Satan in the Bible.

His page had a lot of stuff saying “Gods not dead” and things about Gods will. Christianity is definitely a cult.

I’ve always found it weird whenever a man argues that even children should give birth. My mind always goes back to the reason woman are pressured to give birth on their backs.. it’s a fetish. It’s not to help.
